Washington Post ^ | 8/3/12 | Jena McGregor

Posted on 08/03/2012 2:09:25 PM PDT by DallasBiff

Who knows whether or not Cathy’s remarks will create risks for his sales over the long term—a temporary boost appears to be underway, and customers can have short-term memories. But at a time when young people increasingly support same-sex marriage, what kind of risks do they create for the company’s pool of potential employees?

Sheesh Ms. McGregor did it ever occur to your pointed head that the young workers are happy to have a job in this depression like Obama economy and are thankful for the huge response to Chick Fil A appreciation day.

The kind of young people that seek jobs at CFA are generally from evangelical, bible believing homes.

And this whole notion that more and more people are supporting gay “marriage” is simply a lie.

Sheesh! Boys like girls and girls like boys! Except some 2% of boys and girls who don’t don’t know what they are!

It won’t turn off the Christian kids, you idiot

I’d rather work in that type of environment that with a bunch of pansy, self-hating, limp wristers. And most people would

Clearly the reporter has no clue WHO works at CFA.

A huge number are drawn from churches.

Our church youth group is disproportionally represented at the local Chick Fil A.

During Wednesday's mega crush, the employees where amazing and polite, same for today's aftershock.

Idiotic article! If customers have short memories, kids looking for their first job have even shorter ones.

Maybe I’m obtuse but 1. I don’t think young people will put gay marriage in front of their own need for a paycheck in this economy (or any economy, for that matter) and 2. I have never really bought this idea that young people all support gay marriage, having grown up being taught that gays were normal.

In fact, they may be lying to pollsters. They may have been turned off by having this in their face growing up.
They may be ready for a back lash.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think so-—youth has a way of changing their opinions overnight anyway.

This article is a bigger stretch than Jack LaLane ever took.

Dear Pandertard,

I realize it’s not convenient to your agenda however, anyone considering working a counter at a fast food joint probably has bigger problems than caring if their employer does or doesn’t want to celebrate men sticking their penises in each others anuses.

Jena McGregor, in the long term, what kind of future do you have at the WP with the company losing huge amounts of money every quarter? Will you still have your job at the WP next year? Please advise.

No. It will never occur to Ms McGregor. Her political prism will not permit an insight such as that.

The poor pathetic excuse for a newspaper.

Oh, they’ve tried to destroy Chick-fil-A, but it failed miserably.

The funny thing about all of this, I had not been to Chick-fil-A for awhile before this week. Twice this week. I really did forget how delicious the chicken sandwich with that little pickle can be. Now, this family will frequent, regularly, Chick-fil-A.

Actually, I don’t think a lot of people give a fig what the perverts do, except when:
(1) we are paying for it, and;
(2) the try to force their lack of values on the rest of us.

Given that, it leaves only that they are starved for attention and want to sock the adults.

They will never win the “hearts and minds” of most of America, even though their attempts grow ever more frequent.

Any book on basic anatomy, or even plumbing, proves they are wrong.

“But at a time when young people increasingly support same-sex marriage”

The issue is not “same-sex marriage.” The issues is changing the definition of marriage to accomodate a fringe group with no capacity to even form a multi-generational family. The media doesn’t seem to get that. The issue clearly isn’t supporting something—it’s about changing something.

I’d call it perverting something, frankly.

If I were Dan Cathy, I don't think I'd want to attract any employees like "Adam Smith".

It’s a McJob, they average 300% annual turnover, they pretty much expect the employees to hate the job, finding the next wave is never difficult.
