Deja VU.. seems like we were just here not too long ago.
No matter, its time to ploof the pillow, stir the hambone soup and hear the roar of Junior Nation as we watch the field Chase their tails at Pocono.
as the GrateFul Dead used to sing..
What a long strange ride it's been .. or sumthin'.

Pocono 2012 ReDuX - Pennsylvania 400 race thread is up Ping!
Maybe they will race...but.. this season has been incredibly boring. Who is scheduled to win this race I wonder? Well placed caution (10-15 laps) close to end of race to save fuel?
While I like Junebug okay, the Junior Nation I remember was Johnson’s - NO not Jimmie (what’s with the “ie” anyway?).
I really think you are getting payola to tip umgub when you are about to post the link. I had my semi annual Cardiac Stress test today but I have to wait for the results for a few days.
Sorry, I think I have a root canal sheduled...
Thanks Norm, here we go.
So the Dinger’s been released and several sources say that Kenseth will drive the #20 next year but Gibbs hopes to re-sign Logano. Vickers & Newman (would Tony let him go?) are mentioned for the #22 next year. Gotta check the weather for Pocono. It seems like it always rains during the race there.
I can neither confirm or deny that a remuneration of some sort may explain how the heck umgub beats ya .. for a small donation to FR, you can fund a study. :-]
I had one of them stress thingy’s a few months ago, they shut it down after a few minutes.. all pipes were flowing full bore.. Good luck!
Lots of changes ahead.. RocketMan and Smoke just sounds like a good combo. Vickers deserves a shot at the 22.
Forecast looks iffy
A boring season with Jr in the points lead? Jr Nation might disagree with disagree with you there.
I think it is Jr's turn to win again after he broke his long streak without a win. He is on a roll.
Welcome to FR (/S)
Ugh. 60% chance of thundershowers.
I assumed that Newman would keep the Army contract since the House of Representatives defeated the bill mandating the slashing of military advertising monies. Perhaps thats not the case. Tony and Newman are buds but buds are buds and business is business. Vickers has raced well in his limited starts and Michael Waltrip should grab him if Mark Martin isn’t planning on racing next year.
Pls keep the earthquakes down next week as the wife is heading to La-La land for a one day seminar (Disney Institute) and two days of shopping. I’d go too but I’d have to pay for one day - $600.00 (Disneyland Hotel) and even though you get a wake-up call from Mickey Mouse I’ll keep the cheese in my pocket.
Vickers is a party animal off the track.
I don’t think he’ll fit the Penske mold.
Just a guess.
Went to a CRA/ARCA last model show last week at Indianapolis Raceway Park (aka Lucas Oil Raceway).
Half the starting field was under 21.
A 14 yr old won the race, of course he already has 8 years of competition under his belt - karts, quarter midgets, etc.
O M G !!
psssttt... I cleared my puter of cookies and now I can’t reset my league drivers because I din’t write down the FR league nor did I write down the passwork. I know I can trust you to not make a fool of me by repeating this to Norm or Mtn Clinger...
If Dolly got the cookies your secret is safe w/me. Dogs rule and Norm’s and Clingers drool.
I spend too much time on FR. BTW, gud luck on yer stress test.
Psssttt....I heard that. Montoya gets the pole. And yappydogx2 should not make fun of the bitter Mtnclinger.
I agree 103% with you about yappyx2 now give me a link to the FReeper league and also tell me what my password is.
I have a complaint!!! I am being discriminated against on this thread because no one will give me a link to the FReeper League...
Desperate in Benderville
I would think Vickers is more careful about his health these days, he was in not too good shape some time back.. Roger will shop carefully, I’m sure,, too bad with AllmuhdingersRgone.. he’ll bounce back.. somewhere
Here ya go..
Cartion .. Use with care.. and wine.
We may get some backsplash here, maybe some t’storms.. remnants of a south of the border t’storm,, some moisture if we’re lucky,, it’s awful dry around here. The cows don’t moo as much, the squirrels are ready to move on too..
Coming up on half way in the NW race...
Sadler just got some reward for getting short changed last week...
Here is the link to the FR League:
And if I had to guess your password I would try “MtnClinberRules”
You may wanrt to try the Yahoo login feature for when you forgot your password.
Hope that helps!
They lifted the burning ban/BBQ ban so I was going to cook out, but chose instead to swing by Chick Fil-A and got a take-out catering platter of 24 chicken strips with buffalo sauce. The workers were as nice as you could ask for. The woman cleaning the glass on the front door opened the door for us and said “God bless” as we went in. The drive through line was backed up about 8 cars and inside was moderately busy for 4:00 in the afternoon.
Life is strange.. and then there is Nascar. That was a bad call all the way around last week-end.. we got a purple haze sunset , lots of clouds and some light spotty stuff in the santa cruz mtns.
I agree Norm. Why don’t they eliminate the pre-start line and just start them off at the flag stand... period!
Our radar is showing rain from Fort Bragg S/E to below Sacramento but north of the bay area. Now about that Purple Haze sunset... Have you been reading my posts on the gardening thread???
Red Gold on the left... Yukon Gold and the right and Purple Haze on the top...
Would you believe we have clingers in Oregon but not one single Chick-fil-A? True.
And speaking of secrets here’s one: Denny Hamlin is going to have an engine failure Sunday.....
I’m kicking myself actually. Had Hamlin in the line up but replaced him w/Kenseth after Denny’s practice speeds. Excessive micro-managing on my part; I knew of the 11’s stellar record at Pocono & will see how it all shakes out.
We’re getting the clouds and storms today that ya’ll sent from down your way. Hit 91 yesterday and if I had corn growing I’da had the mister on it. Church & nap. Will put some extra time on the DVR in case of a rain delay.
We had a surprise rain here this morning from a fast moving front out of the south. Lady Bender caught some druggie trying to break into my pickup this morning but he was gone when the PD showed up. I would have shot the SoB with my Canon camera...
I suspect the druggie was looking for donuts or cookies and I have a good excuse as I was next door cleaning the MIL’s gutters.
I hope the race is good. The most exciting thing going on here is that one of my pond goldfish is pregnant.
It’s On!! Pocono pre-race show on espn now.
I hope it don’t rain. Go Junyah 88 and Brad 2!
Thanks Norm, Hi All
fingers crossed we get it in today.. hopefully the red glob now on top of track is the end of wet for today.
Appears to be raining like hell. Good Grief.....
Nice piles of tators. Yukon golds always work for me.. and baby reds.
Looks like Rain Delay Today!!
NASCAR needs to just schedule all of the Pocono races for Monday.
This race is hours away at best. They are getting soaked.
I thought I saw Marty Smith taking a shower... with his clothes on
I guess that beats the alternative......
Better him than Crusty Rusty...
I hate this rain wife says oh goody lets go shopping then
Tell her NASCAR.com has lots of goodies. :^) (I expect 15 minutes or so until green)
