If someone sincerely believes that so-called "marriage equality" is the fair and just thing to do, that belief should be respected.

Wrong, Bill. The PERSON who holds the belief should be respected. The right of that person to hold such a belief should be respected. But the belief itself is WRONG, and if put into effect, would be disastrous for the country. We should not be afraid to say that to those who are trying to shove it down our throats.

I would go further than that. The person’s right to hold and express the belief should be respected. There are some persons who are so hateful and vile, that they don’t deserve respect. For example, I do not respect the former Vante CFO, Adam Smith.
