You are probably assuming that the National Olympic Training Site in Colorado Springs is funded by the federal government.
It is not. The site is funded by the various athletic federations, most of which are headquartered in Colorado Springs and all of which are funded by private contributions.
These athletes should forfeit 100% of their earnings just for the privilege using all these government services.
Anyone care to guess how many athletes will sign up for the next Olympics?
