President Obama is of the view that he knows the key factor for the re-election, and it is very close to the White House. Last night at a high school in Leesburg in Virginia, Obama told supporters that if we win Virginia, we will win this election. Obama became the first presidential candidate four years ago to win in Virginia, since President Lyndon Johnson in 1964. He was also winner in the neighboring North Carolina, the first Democrat to do so since Jimmy Carter in 1976.
The race this year in Virginia also features a wild card, the possibility of independent candidacy by former American Congressman Virgil Goode, a resident of Virginia. Goode, is a former Democrat-turned-Republican, a conservative and could take a significant number of votes from the Republican candidate Mitt Romney.
Virginia was made corner stone of a solid GOP South in the presidential elections, from Ronald Reagan to George W Bush. Cracking of the South by Obama virtually guaranteed his win over John McCain, and would probably do that again, against Mitt Romney.

“You hate Romney more than you love your country.”
I think you hit the nail on the head.
Let him win Virginia and lose the rest. Then he can still believe he won.
Does that hold true for all of us living in Califoria?
No but anyone putting down a 100 percent true conservative and voting for a communist in Romney shows that you are a communist and no not all are the same from California.
Nope. I am a conservative lover. Too bad you aren’t. A pity because there is a chance you are a good person but your delusion for liberal policies make you nasty at least on the inside.
“He is a fake phony fraud.”
Did Romney vote for the EPA too? ;)
“They should call up Mark Levin and have a discussion on why he is a communist for now supporting Mitt. That would be quite entertaining for the listeners.”
Communist insofar as you insist every conservative must fall behind the republican party.
If you are a traitor for defying the republican party, then I’m proud to be called a traitor.
“Communist insofar as you insist every conservative must fall behind the republican party.”
I just don’t see the rationale with so much at stake in our country. Apparently 4 more years of Obama does not bother you at all. It frankly scares the hell out of me.
You sure like to throw the communist label around to those who do not agree with you.
“Obama became the first presidential candidate four years ago to win in Virginia, since President Lyndon Johnson in 1964.”
Ms. Steven needs an editor. Oh, and maybe a clue.
It does bother me. That’s why I fought so hard for Santorum, someone who actually was conservative, who has been pro life and pro traditional.
I wanted a candidate who could actually beat him. Romney’s not the answer, never has been. If Romney gets elected, we will never see a prolifer nominated again.
Are you willing to trade that for 4 more years of Obama? Hell no. Better enemy fire than friendly fire.
Great pics.
For an old guy like me, she pretty much represents the top of the mountain, LOL.
It appears that just part of the presidency is what Virgil is shooting for. He's only on the ballot in 17 states and it is now August.
Not the EPA, the ERA...Equal Rights Amendment - the #1 all-time biggest priority of the feminazi movement, and the assclown Virgil Goode supported it!
The number one priority of true patriots is to prevent the re-election of the radical Marxist currently doing his best to destroy our Republic, even if it means voting against him by voting for the only viable alternative, RINO Romney. If necessary, I will do that. Fortunately for me, that probably wont be necessary. My home state of Louisiana is a safe Republican Party win (2008: RINO McCain 59%, Zero 40%). Mittens is way too liberal to get my conservative vote.
But, Im also not going to vote for any third party spoiler candidate that has virtually zero chance of winning. I really question the patriotism and wisdom of splitting the vote with the final result of handing victory over to the opposing major party. It shows me that the candidate is more interested in selfishly stroking his own ego than doing whats best for the country. The splitting of conservative votes in this primary until it was too late is one of the major reasons that we wound up with Mittens! Its dreadful to think that we may repeat the same stupid mistake on 6NOV2012.
So, its very likely that my vote at the top the ballot will be for None of the Above.
“Not the EPA, the ERA...Equal Rights Amendment - the #1 all-time biggest priority of the feminazi movement, and the assclown Virgil Goode supported it!”
I asked you a question. Did Romney support it?
No. He opposed it, and his LDS church was instrumental, perhaps decisive, in defeating it...
FOR A CRASH course in Mormon political power, consider the important role the LDS Church played in the defeat of the Equal Rights Amendment, which would have guaranteed women equal rights under the law. Passed by the House in 1971 and by the Senate in 1972, the ERA enjoyed widespread national support and seemed destined to succeed. By 1976, 34 states had ratified it; only four more were needed to make it part of the Constitution.
Then the Mormons got involved. In October 1976, the LDS Churchs First Presidency consisting of the churchs three highest-ranking members issued a formal statement opposing the ERA: the amendment, the First Presidency warned, might "stifle many God-given feminine instincts" and lead to an uptick in homosexual activity. This denunciation had a near-immediate impact in Idaho, home to a relatively large Mormon electorate. The Idaho legislature had previously given the ERA the requisite two-thirds approval, but this was undone by a January 1977 referendum in which a popular majority opposed the amendment.

Incorrect. You asked if he voted for it.
In what capacity would Romney have voted for the Environmental Protection Agency?
“No. He opposed it, and his LDS church was instrumental, perhaps decisive, in defeating it.”
Again, that does not answer the question. Romney has been on the record for supporting both abortion and gay marriage. Just because he’s mormon doesn’t answer the question?
“In what capacity would Romney have voted for the Environmental Protection Agency?”
So you answer a direct question with another question?
I think it’s hilarious that Romney supporters are bringing this issue up - given Romney’s wholehearted support for abortion and gay marriage. Not to mention enacting Romneycare in Massachusetts.
Be evasive all you like. Be aware that your evasiveness isn’t selling any of us on Romney.
I do, when I want to demonstrate the asininity of the direct question.
