Five armed men who attempted to rob a jewellery store were left scrambling for the door when a 65-year-old woman opened fire on them.
The handgun-wielding thieves, clad in hoodies, were forced to flee Continental Jewelry in Garden Grove, California, after the woman chased after them last week.
The men pulled up to the store in a white Ford SUV and entered one by one, pointing their guns at the clerks and one customer.
They ordered everybody to drop to the ground, while opening up pillowcases and demanding cash in what was likely to be a violent smash-and-grab heist.
But the robbers were thwarted in their tracks when the 65-year-old storeowner heard the commotion from the back of the store.
She ran into the main room while firing two rounds, causing the men to panic and attempt to flee the store.
The one-minute incident, which was captured on surveillance camera, shows the men falling over and stumbling into each other as they try to open the door.

Gun rights are an open-shut case that shouldn't even be debated. How can people be so stupid as to not see the obvious:
-As soon as this granny fired in their general direction, they scattered like roaches. The gun allowed her to resist 5 big ‘men’ before the cops were even called. Armed ‘men’, no less. Even IF the cops arrived 5-10 minutes later, these guys would have been over a mile away. Even if you are outnumbered like in this case, few thieves will engage in a firefight if they can escape.
-Remember that cops will also scatter and hide when it gets too hot. They are just government employees and will never defend you as fervently as you will defend your own life.

Last time I checked, the Declaration told us "that [we] are endowed by [our] Creator with certain unalienable Rights".
So, the two-party thugs running our government can deny or revoke the 2nd Amendment all they like, all day long.
When they do, the Declaration solution goes into effect.
Criminals who are smart enough to obtain their equipment from illegal sources are allowed to have any size magazine they can find.
How many of the store occupants would have been siverly beaten, raped or killed by the time the thugs were done having their way with them?
Like it or not, one armed citizen firing only TWO SHOTS prevented what could have been a horrific tragedy.
