Cruz: Tea party ‘overwhelmingly’ behind Romney
The Washington Times ^ | August 5, 2012 | Sean Lengell

Ted Cruz, who rode a tea party wave to win the Texas Republican Senate nomination last week, said Sunday the movement will “overwhelmingly” support Mitt Romney in the November presidential election.

Mr. Cruz said tea party activists will rally in defense of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee because they’re “energized” to defeat President Obama.

“I have spoken with literally thousands and thousands of tea party activists, and I have yet to met a single tea party leader that is not going to vote for Mitt Romney and work hard for him,” Mr. Cruz said on Fox News Sunday.

“Our country is in crisis, and we’ve got to stop this Obama agenda if we’re going to preserve opportunity for our kids and grandkids.”(continued)

He should say "vote for Virgil Goode, because nothing says Dem win like a Clintonian plurality"

And nothing says "Republican Revolution" and "impeachment" like a Clintonian plurality.

I'll be praying for a plurality, and voting for one, too.

When he tells you that Christians must accept homosexuals remember your current position.

My, my...such anger. I know supporting libs is stressful and makes you lose control of rational discourse, but no thanks. Besides, you didn’t buy me dinner first.

They would rather see America turned into a communist third world $hithole before they would vote against their “principles” (regardless of the consequences to those “principles” in a second Obama term).

So you have no principles, eh?

“Try to use basic reasoning. You really look stupid with that statement.”

Precisely. There was no reasoning behind your statement and I came back at you with one just as absurd. I take it you are voting for Goode in Virginia. If not who? So how many states is Goode running in? What chance does he have of turning this country around in the next for years. The answer is none.

At least there is a chance with Mitt. If Obama gets in for another for years that could very well put this country over the edge that will take a very long time to recover if ever. We are coming up on $16 billion is debt but I guess things like that don’t bother you. I guess people out of work does not bother you. I guess people losing their life savings does not bother you.

“I always wondered what those Paulbots would do when they had to admit he didn’t have a chance.”

The several that I know are doing an illiterate blackmail strategy.

They are telling Romney people they can’t win without his 5 percent support, and they won’t vote for Romney, and they DEMAND that Romney voters vote for Paul........or else.

They may be the dumbest politicos to ever have walked the face of the earth.

Well Norm, I’m not a Christian. I am though, a Zionist Jew, and I am very rational. I’m rational enough to realize that 4 more years of the Kenyan Marxist will be a disaster from which this nation will not recover for generation. And since Romney WILL be the nominee, I don’t think there’s much choice in this matter, votewise.

Put her on the ticket and I would not only vote for her, but work for her campaign in any way I could.

Until she appears on the national ticket and has a real shot at unseating Obama and his politburo I will be forced to vote for whoever has a chance to do that. Writing her in won’t help us get rid of the enemy.

Too many years in the Infantry - you shoot the closest threat first and then move to the next one. Obama is the embodiment of everything I served and fought AGAINST while in uniform.

Romney was my LAST choice.

I think Obama pisses people off to such an extent, that the Tea Party would be lining up behind Michael Moore if he ran against him...

I’m old enough now to know the destructiveness of holding your nose at election time.

People have to hold their noses because Romney STINKS. When something stinks so bad you have to hold your nose, it's nature's way of telling you that that "something" is either toxic or rotten. Ignoring your wise, faithful nose is a mistake.

I'm voting for a plurality -- the last time a liberal Democrat was elected to the presidency on a plurality, he got impeached. The time before that a liberal Democrat was elected to the presidency on a plurality, he got hammered by the Republican Revolution and was forced to move right. Seeing as how we're going to end up with a liberal Democrat president whether it's Obama or Romney, the best bet is to vote for a plurality. And the only way to do that is to vote third party.

People, HEED YOUR NOSE. As Snoopy said, "The eye can be deceived, but the nose knows."

"It's hard to find a Romney supporter who doesn't hate Romney"

Yeah, that's the kind of absurd non sequitur I want in a President...

So, exactly how are you different than the Left again?

My principles are to defend this nation against all enemies - both foreign and domestic.

Obama is clearly an enemy of America. Romney is many things - no he’s not a conservative - but he is no enemy of America.

Your principles are different than those?

You have no clue. My God. You are voting for a liberal and calling it conservative, then trashing conservatives for sticking and voting for what they believe in.

There is nothing absurd in what I said. It’s 100% true and factual. Does VOTING FOE A LIBERAL not set off warning buzzers in your head?

because as a Christian we are called to love our neighbor as ourselves

Why did you leave out - TO HATE EVIL as God does?

until Romney convinces me that a person like me can fit in his “world” I am holding fire.

What part of Mormonism do you WANT to fit in? What part of a cult leader do you think is honest? His master is satan, satan is the father of LIES/LIARS. You want 'convincing' from evil?

Speaking of fire - if the fire was turned up 7x hotter would you be convinced to bow? Read Daniel to see what TRUE Christians went through and NEVER would bow. And Who was in the furnace with them?

And as Christians did they feel they had to love the king that was so good to them - after all, they were taught to love one another. NOPE! Never entered their mind to bow - as they were God focused so they NEVER bowed.

This election is separating the wheat from the chaff, IMO It is showing OURSELVES what is really is stronger inside - good or evil. God already knows. Do we believe HIM like the 3 men in the furnace? He always shows up when there is total belief - which means 'no doubt'. So let anything crumble - it doesn't matter as God ALWAYS protects His own and anyone bowing to evil is not His own!

JR is every bit as irrational about Romney as pissant was about Sarah Palin.

Hey, if you're going to bad-mouth someone, at least have the courage to ping them and not talk behind their back.
