Reflecting an apparent systemic failure, steadily burgeoning evidence (see here, here, here, and here) indicates that one of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s closest aides, Huma Abedin, despite Ms. Clinton’s protestation, was inadequately vetted for either family or personal ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Diligent, open source investigation has already uncovered and documented numerous alarming connections. One can reasonably infer that a serious, formal congressional investigation of the overall extent of Muslim Brotherhood influence operations –as requested by Representatives Bachmann, Gohmert, Franks, Westmoreland, and Rooney — might yield even more disturbing findings.
Pending these sorely needed Congressional inquiries — replete with their probing investigative tools (i.e., subpoena power, access to classified materials) — much can still be gleaned from the public record. For example, over the past 33 years, Huma Abedin’s family has been responsible for the editorial production of the academic journal of the Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs (IMMA), known as Institute of Muslim Minority Affairs Journal from 1979-1995, and Journal of Muslim Minority Affairs from 1996 until now. The production started with the founding involvement of family patriarch Syed Z. Abedin and Huma’s mother Saleha Abedin since 1979, and subsequently joined by Huma’s brother Hassan Abedin (1996 to present), Huma herself (1996 to 2008), and Huma’s sister Heba (married name Khalid or Khaled; 2002 to present).
The following analysis of this IMMA journal’s foundational origins, guiding editorial board membership, and Weltanschauung — most appositely, at present — confirms that the Abedin family “academic” journal is a thinly veiled mouthpiece for the Muslim Brotherhood’s Sharia-supremacist agenda. Do you really think it is going to be shaken out?
Not unless a formal and highly publicized congressional investigation ensues, the whole affair will be wrapped in a protective blanket.
Don’t forget that national secrets may have been passed on (i.e. treason). If that is the case, you can expect the entire Obama administration to circle the wagons.

We are supposed to be surprised by the current administration’s support for the Muslim Brotherhood . Why ?
They already have an inside ear and voice to the U.S. State Dept.
Calling for an investigation as to “influence peddling” is opposed by this adminstration’s continuing support for “Chicago-style-Thuggery” in International matters is no different than what is happening here in the Nation.
We owe a debt of thanks to Bachmann and the others , not criticism.

Your pessimism is well founded. However, I just have hope that Obie & Co will not be able to hide everything from all of the people, all of the time.
Andrew McCarthy was on Jay Severin’s radio show last week. He did a great job of connecting Huma to the Muslim Brotherhood. He’s very familiar with these people after prosecuting and getting a conviction of the blind sheik.

It’s a waste of time to investigate Huma Abedin without investigating Hillary Clinton.
What has Hillary passed on or agreed to while under the influence of this woman? What has this woman passed on that she got while whispering sweet nothings. If this woman is guilty of passing on items to the Muslims, why is Hillary not a security risk?
Tw people who quite literally hate each other Hillary and Obama, united in their conspiracy to pass on info and access to Muslims?
