Left up to the states??? We need a conservative Supreme Court to roll back Roe v. Wade, a federal dictate. We need a president to push Congress to ban federal funding of abortions and stop the abortions embedded in socialized medicine.
Leave marriage up to the states?? The federal courts are going to force homosexual marriage down our throats. All of us. They will call it a federal civil rights issue that overrides states rights.
Just wait to see until there is a divorce battle between a traditional marriage state and a gay state, or a church fighting for the right to hire whoever it wants. Big Brother and the liberal judges and bureaucrats will side with the gays.
Sorry, my libertarian friend. Social issues are national issues, whether we like it or not. We need a conservative president to fight for these issues. If we “turn it all back to the states,” as you suggest, we will be retreating. We will show the white flag on the culture wars.
