Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney should release more of his tax returns only after President Barack Obama makes public his college transcripts, real estate magnate Donald Trump said on CNBC.
A vocal Romney supporter who once toyed with a run at the top office himself, Trump took up the latest controversy over the president's background — the circumstances under which Obama attended Columbia University.
"If I were Mitt Romney, and I'm not, I would say very simply, 'I will release my returns, which are 100 percent legit, everything's fine, if you release the information that we want,'" he said on"Squawk Box." Obama "spends $4 million trying to hide lots of different things that he's done, whether it's his passport records, his college applications and college record."

"If I were Romney I would do this: 'I will release my returns if you release the records that you've been trying to shield for the last four years,'" Trump said.
Romney critics have challenged his decision to release only the two most recent years of tax returns.
The Obama campaign did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Something tells me, especially after seeing how Willard went after Gingrich and Santorum in the primaries, that he’ll have no compunction getting down and dirty with Axelrod, Plouffe, and Co.
He’s using Sununu as a surrogate mouthpiece in the media a LOT now, and that is an encouraging sign.....to me at least. John Sununu has never shied away from playing extreme hardball.

My thoughts exactly. In the logic test, Reid is to Obama as Trump is to _____?
And Trump is known to be a pit bull and not be easily shut up once he’s taken up a cause. At the least, he’ll get some attention from reporters on the Left because he’s too amusing/arrogant to ignore for long.
So, Reid vs. Trump in a battle of the surrogates. Could be fun to watch, and Trump at least isn’t making up a “someone” who told him what was in Obama’s college records.
(He stole this idea, by the way, but he’s the perfect one to run with it.)
Maybe Trump can do what investigative journalists and the useless GOP refuse to do and that is find out why obama and his America hating wife had to surrender their law licenses.
There is a big smoking gun there and only a vast conspiracy within the media prevents this from being exposed.

When and how were the records sealed? Presidential Order? When? Has the order, or whatever, been released, so we can read it? There might be a lot of interesting questions posed to o’s minions about it.
Precisely. Just yesterday, one of Obama’s former Columbia classmates, Wayne Allyn Root, penned an op-ed about the Anointed One’s stealth presence on campus. Like Obama, Mr. Root was a political science major who graduated in the same year (1983). Trouble is, Root has no memory of Obama, nor do any of his classmates at Columbia.
Root believes that Obama identified himself as a foreign student for financial aid and/or admissions purposes, and I think his theory is highly plausible. I was an intel officer for more than 20 years (military and civilian) and I’ve seen SCI-level SAR/SAP programs that are more accessible than Obama’s collegiate records.
Romney should agree to release more tax records only after Obama releases all of his college records and passport files. Of course, he should only do this if copies of Obama’s original documents can be secured—assuming they still exist.
Covering up (or altering) the paper trail is nothing new for Dims. It’s been reported that John Forbes Kerry’s first act as a U.S. Senator was to pay a call on the Secretary of the Navy, to tidy up certain discrepancies in his military record.
Mr. Romney, if you are a real American and you care about your family as much as you say you do, please choose a real conservative as your running mate to give the rest of us a chance to live free and our dreams.

He set no precedent. Letting a murderer go free does not make murder legal from now on.
The Constitution is a political document. It's only as strong as the individual branches wish to exercise their respective powers.
Obama did not make it legal for future presidents to be non-citizens, or non-natural born citizens, as long as future Congresses wish to exert their powers over future candidates.

And it would burn Obama up if released; it would show that he attended on a foreign student financial aid program. And that his grades were none too special.
