I don’t doubt that 0bama was a “less than distinguished” student while at Columbia.
I was a Political Science major at Indiana University at about the same time (1977-1981). I was active in my classes there, and unlike 0bama, I would consider myself a distinguished student. At least enough to get into law school on my own merits and not affirmative action. I was also a German major; there were about a dozen of us, we were in the same classes for four years and we all knew each other fairly well at the time.
Having said all of that, I believe there is only one other Political Science major who would recognize me today: Keane Moody, who also happened to be a hunting buddy and life-long friend. Only one German major, Stephanie, would remember me, and that’s because she wound up living in the same metropolitan area, her dad taught in the same department of the high school where my uncle taught, and we sort of dated once or twice.
So my point is that it’s been a long time since undergrad, and unless you made close friends that you kept in touch with, you aren’t going to be remembered 30 years later. Other than Keane and Stephanie, I don’t remember any of the other poli sci or German majors, and I doubt any of the others now remember me.
Not bad points.
But I suspect you would have remembered it if you had ever met the only black student in your subject.
Film clips show Oboma as a radical black organizer on campus. If he was there for more than activism - for what ever reason - people would remember. Apparently, he made a lot of noise if nothing else.
That's why I've always wondered why he had no known friends or girl friends from his college years talking about how wonderful he was (like the democrats claim). The only people, other than this person, who have come forward are two of Obomas homosexual sex partners.

But you did not become president. Usually you have people coming out of the woodwork saying they went to school with you or were your friend once you are that prominent.
Then you have a poor memory for a lawyer. I remember people from grade school, high school and college.
I tend to agree with this when I think back to my college days. OTOH, if one of my college acquaintances suddenly became president? I think my inclination would be to wrack my brains to see if I could remember anything about a president who attended my school/college with the same graduation year.
funny I can remember mine class mates or even look at the photo’s, hell no one can remember bozo, no has a photo of him, no one even a professor knows of him, weird hey.
Also when I hear the dopey Dems say obama is smart I always ask in what way.
They have no clue how to answer, they can;t give me his grades, his records nothing, they just go on the lies the liebral biased media puts out.

You would remember if someone in your class became president. You would have a yearbook. I ran into guys from high school years later and still recognized them even though we were not friends in HS.
I still remember all my middle school friends and they remember me.
A lot of people would remember you if you were elected president.
