Please GOD not Petreaus!!!! He is another perfumed prince ala the “C’mon, what’s it gonna hurt to let in queers and put girls on subs” in the Pentagon

NO WAY should Petreaus be VP (in my humble opinion).

I can get a less expensive ($60-90) Linksys or NetGear model wo/usb (don’t know if I’ll ever use it anyway), but will wireless work w/ a non-wireless computer?

It has same 3 things this current malfunctioning, bypassed Linksys 4000 has:

1) power supply,
2) ethernet from cable modem to router,
3) ethernet from router to computer,

Looks also like it has a wireless button on back. If not activated, will it work just like a regular router? Or is wireless router for wireless-only use?

Wasn’t this complicated 3-4yrs ago... maybe I’m making too much of this wireless?

That is a wonderful story.

My Brandy just turned 14, seems like yesterday when her mother Reagan passed at the same age.

yes - a wireless modem (most all modems have wireless today) will work with your wired ethernet connection - you can choose to turn on or off the wireless radio in the setup screens - if you do turn on the wireless radio, you should probably password protect the wireless so others won't use your connection

most wireless routers have 4 ethernet ports on them (the squarish ports) in addition an internal radio for wireless - some routers have more than 4 ethernet ports

the cable modems i have seen are coax connected - but i have not worked with many of them (coax is the round connector like tv uses)

most any will support the speed - but i’d check that diocss (or whatever) support for whatever you buy

this place has ok prices - amazon will probably be a few bucks cheaper - but on this site, you can read lots of reviews on products - might be worth the time
