If Romney's the chosen one, why's he fighting so hard about a mere 21 delegates ?

This is a Maine issue. Webster strong-armed and tried to shut out the vocal Ron Paulites at the Maine convention, and the Paulites aren't just going along with it quietly.
Webster declared Romney the winner before the votes were counted, because he was embarrassed by the amount of support Paul got.

He wants them all, so why not ask his 'friends' to get it done - Typical Romney!
Eat this for breakfast Romney while sitting in your underwear.
NOT EVERY REPUBLICAN CAN BE BOUGHT!
We will not be intimidated into signing political deals under threat of being unseated. We are accountable to the Maine Republicans who elected us, not the Mitt Romney Campaign.

“Any challenge to the Maine delegates would be submitted to the Republican National Committee’s contest committee, which is expected to meet a few weeks before the national convention Aug. 27 in Tampa, said Kirsten Kukowski, an RNC spokeswoman in Washington, D.C. “Once they make their decision, it’s final,” she said.”
Bare knuckles in Maine... cool!
