Steelman is in love with filling the role of Tea Party maverick. She doesn’t seem to recognize that Republicans have been soundly conservative for some time and respect for others is important.

Good post. I agree. The "Hey, I'm a Tea Party maverick!" shtick wears a bit thin.

And Brunner, in turn, turned me off with his negative TV ads, linking Steelman visually with McCaskill and Obama.

So I voted for my steady, solid, conservative congresssman, Todd Akin.

I think we will have trouble getting rid of Democrat Governor Nixon. He has worked conservatively with the Republican legislature and is hard working and dilegent.

Again, I agree. Missouri will go Repuplican for President and Senate this fall, but the one Democrat who is likely to survive is Nixon. For a Democrat, he's relatively "centrist."

207 was meant for you. It’s getting late.
