RICHMOND, Va. (WTVR) Monday the State Board of Elections voted unanimously for the Attorney Generals office to investigate forms submitted by Virgil Goode in his attempt to appear on the ballot as a presidential candidate.
A spokesperson for the board confirmed the request and that the Attorney Generals involvement.
Goode is a former congressman running for president under the Constitution Party. He will appear on the ballot in many other states, but he has yet to qualify for his home state of Virginia.
Virgil Goode represented Virginias 5th congressional district until he was defeated by Democrat Tom Perriello in 2007

Obama will come to his defense anytime so that Virgil can bleed off enough voted to cause Virginia to go to Obama.

if he has the signatures, he has every right to be on the ballot. Smells to me.
Sounds like it won’t be any problem for Goode though. He already has 8,000 validated sigs.
The Green Party and Democrats will have the candidates they want on the ballot!

At any rate, McDonnell is now trying to do to Goode what he did to Perry, Santorum, and Gingrich, at Romney's behest.
As I recall, Virginia eliminated several candidates from the primaries earlier this year, for questionable reasons. It used to be a conservative state, but apparently that is no longer the case.
Goode and corrupt working hard to reelect Obama.
