Welfare voter push has (Ma) GOP crying foul
bostonherald.com ^ | 08/08/2012 | Chris Cassidy and Hillary Chabot

The state has mailed out voter registration letters to nearly 500,000 welfare recipients,in a push sparked by a group led by former ACORN bigwigs that critics say is a naked bid to boost Democrats at the polls in November.

The suit was filed after a 35-year-old Lowell woman recertified her benefits at a Lowell welfare office last June and “was not offered the opportunity to register to vote at any time during her visit; nor was she offered a voter registration application,” according to papers filed in U.S. District Court.

State officials denied the aggressive voter outreach is a ploy to pad the Democratic voter rolls.

“I would refute any effort to portray this as a Democratic get-out-the-vote effort,”said Marilyn Chase, an assistant secretary of the Executive Office of Health and Human Services. “And I’d reframe it as an intent on the part of a state agency to comply with what’s mandated by federal law.”

John Feehery, a Washington, D.C.-based GOP consultant, scoffed at the claim.

“What a crock,” Feehery said. “So the fix is in, huh? This is an inside job. The settlement seems like it’s a case of (Gov. Deval) Patrick finding a way to help his friends, Barack Obama and Elizabeth Warren.”

NEU4J worked in concert with Demos, a liberal group leading a national charge to enroll welfare recipients. Demos — which was started in the 1990s and lists Barack Obama on its founding board of directors — has sued nine states, including the battlegrounds of Ohio, Pennsylvania and Nevada, according to Demos lawyer Lisa Danetz.

Cases are still pending in Nevada, Pennsylvania and Louisiana, which is fighting the suit. Settlements have been reached in Ohio, Missouri, New Mexico, Indiana and Georgia. Meanwhile, North Carolina, Virginia, Colorado and Mississippi have all agreed to comply without being sued.

Brainwashing 101. Democrats increase their chances of winning by keeping people dependant and/or ill-informed and uneducated. A few years ago, I was in Las Vegas during an election cycle and saps were passing out literature saying “Republicans want to end gambling.” There ya go: Vote Republican and Las Vegas becomes a desert again.

The fix is in. This is Chicago Democrat politics in action. The USA is a Banana Republic wherever Democrats are in control of the ballot box.

Dear Democrats,

Wouldn't it be wise to at least SLIGHTLY obscure your Satanic underpinnings and your fealty to the Devil?

Love always,

This is from the motor voter" bill...

The legislation was initially designed to reduce costs of voting registration by accumulating individual data when applying for a drivers license and or receiving social assistance.[1] The "motor voter" nickname came from the idea that most of the NVRA data was accumulated from applicants renewing or obtaining driver's licenses.[1] Individuals who applied for "agency based" needs such as food stamps, disability services and other social services were to be offered voter registration, as well. The intention of the legislation was to encourage greater access to voter registration for the citizens who needed further assistance registering to vote. Also, NVRA allowed for more accessible voter registration through mail-in and individual voter registration drives.

Its instructive to note that this law was the brainchild of the America destroyers, Cloward and Piven. It was the next step in bringing down the system.

Former ACORN Director Gets $445 MILLION From US Government

June 8, 2012

The Obama Administration has given a former director at the scandal-plagued Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) nearly half a billion dollars to offer “struggling” Illinois homeowners mortgage assistance, a Judicial Watch investigation has found.

It means the ACORN official (Joe McGavin) will go from operating a corrupt leftist community group that’s banned by Congress from receiving federal funding to controlling over $445 million in U.S. taxpayer funds. The money is part of a $7.6 billion Treasury Department program to help the “unemployed or substantially underemployed” make their mortgage payments.

Former ACORN Florida director attacks Marco Rubio

July 2, 2012

FloridaWatch, which will henceforth be referred to as ACORN 2.0, has launched another tacky, low-class attack that is sure to follow in its long list of totally ineffective campaigns.

http://www.reaganista.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/07/susannahrandolph-300x272.jpg

The group, headed by Susannah Randolph, is mocking Marco Rubio’s recently released book “An American Son” with the kind of inflammatory rhetoric that they’ve used in the past on other conservatives.

The Tampa Bay Times reports receiving a UPS package from ACORN 2.0 with Rubio’s new book in it wrapped in a pink book jacket with the word “TRAITOR” plastered over a bad picture of Rubio. The picture used, incidentally, is the same one on an anonymous Twitter account uses to make fun of Rubio’s appearance

Former ACORN Institutional Component Charged With Tax Violation

Jul 19, 2012

The former Texas ACORN chapter has a new name and a scheme to collect donations and divert them for political use in a way that abuses tax laws governing charitable organizations, according to a Washington-based public interest group.

Cause of Action, a nonprofit taxpayer watchdog, charged in a letter to the Treasury Inspector General for Tax Administration that the tax-exempt Texas Organizing Project (TOP), formed from the ashes of scandal-ridden ACORN, is using money funneled to it by a closely associated group called the Texas Organizing Project Education Fund for political activity.

The fund gave nearly 80 percent of its revenues — approximately $640,000 — to the advocacy group in 2010, leading Cause of Action officials to believe its reason for being is to raise charitable donations to send to TOP, which is permitted to fund political activity. TOP has used its website to solicit support for Mary Ann Perez, a Democrat running for state representative.

I vaguely recall former MA gubernatorial candidate, Luther S. Harshbarger, was helping ACORN coverup illegal activities.

I guess he really wants back into the game.

I suppose the silver lining is that if they have to scramble this hard to get Democrat votes lined up in Massachusetts, the Fake White Indian must be in a lot more trouble than I think she’s in.
