Should any of the Iranians taken hostage by rebels in Syria be harmed, America should expect Irans intelligence agents to respond in kind, the Islamic regime has warned.
Forty-eight Iranians were seized Saturday in Damascus by rebels seeking to overthrow Syrian President Bashar Assads regime. Iran claims they are pilgrims, but Abdel Nasser Shemir, a rebel commander, in an interview with the news organization Al Arabiya, charged they were members of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards whose confiscated documents proved as much.
They are 48, in addition to an Afghani interpreter, Shemir said, alleging that the captives were members of a 150-strong group sent by Iran for reconnaissance on the ground.
Iran quickly blamed America, Saudi Arabia and Qatar for the kidnapping.
Hours after the abduction, Ali Larijani, the speaker of the Iranian Parliament, said that, America and certain countries of the region are responsible for these crimes, and they will receive the appropriate response at the right time.

What the heck did we have to do with it?
If Ronald Reagan was in charge they would not be making threats like that. Remember when they released the hostages like SECONDS after Reagan was inaugurated?
I like to think he had sent them a list of leaders that would be killed in US attacks from his first order as President if they were not released before he could go find a pen to sign the order.
The Iranians obviously want Obummer re-elected, so they may be planning a little “wag-the-dog” for before the election.
They’re rallying their base. We’re somehow the poster child for the eeeeeevil West. That if it weren’t for those Americans they could have their little muzzie paradise in their desert shxxhole.
The metrosexual con artist acting as President will not have enough sack to address this. I’m beginning to think that Pres. Romney will.
