Democrats Drop 300,000 Registered Voters in Florida; Republicans Gain

Some 300,000 registered Democrats have vanished in the key swing state of Florida since the 2008 elections, new official figures show.

Fewer than 4.6 million will be able to vote in the state's Democratic primaries next week. That's down from 4.9 million who were eligible in 2008 when a bright young candidate called Barack Obama was carrying the party flag. …

Democrats still hold a numerical advantage over Republicans. There are now slightly more than 4.1 million who ally with the GOP, the News-Press of Fort Myers reports. That figure is up by about 1 percent on 2008. …

Unless pollsters are reflecting these sea changes in voter ID, the polls are worthless. I really only pay attention to Rasmussen and Gallup (and the latter can be suspect at times, too). The rest are push polls.

The internal polls the campaigns pay for and use are the only ones that matter, the rest are as useful as the Daily Astrology page.

So there are 500 thousand more Democrats in Florida than Republicans? That is quite a bit.

How many of them crossed over to the Florida GOP primary to muck about with the nomination process as they did in 2008 when the Rats had no Democrat Presidential Primary (Michigan and Floriduh were excluded). Oh wait, Obammy isn’t contested this time. May-beeeeeee....
