Some 300,000 registered Democrats have vanished in the key swing state of Florida since the 2008 elections, new official figures show.

Unless pollsters are reflecting these sea changes in voter ID, the polls are worthless. I really only pay attention to Rasmussen and Gallup (and the latter can be suspect at times, too). The rest are push polls.
The internal polls the campaigns pay for and use are the only ones that matter, the rest are as useful as the Daily Astrology page.
So there are 500 thousand more Democrats in Florida than Republicans? That is quite a bit.

How many of them crossed over to the Florida GOP primary to muck about with the nomination process as they did in 2008 when the Rats had no Democrat Presidential Primary (Michigan and Floriduh were excluded). Oh wait, Obammy isn’t contested this time. May-beeeeeee....
It was an even larger margin in 2010 and we know what happened that year.
How many independents or no party affiliation? Minor parties?.........
Sadly, the GOP-e will interpret this as validation of their decision to put a liberal socialist at the head of the ticket.
