UPDATE: Joseph Baken pleaded guilty this afternoon in Missoula Municipal Court to charges of filing a false police report. He was sentenced to 180 days in jail and a $300 fine. The jail time was suspended.
Law enforcement says that a 22-year-old man who reported he was the victim of an alleged hate crime in Missoula during the early morning hours of August 5 fabricated the story.
“We have new information that we’re following up on,” said a source inside the Missoula Police Department.
The young man, Joseph Baken, from Billings, reported to the MPD that he was celebrating his birthday downtown at the Missoula Club and, after inquiring about where he could find a gay bar, was beaten up by three men. In the hours after the alleged incident, social media site comments decried homophobic violence and called for protests.
However, the Missoula Independent and MPD obtained video footage that shows Baken doing a backflip on Higgins Avenue and sustaining the injuries, lacerations to his face, that have been depicted on social media sites, during the landing.

Even without the hoax angle, that video is hilarious. What an idiot. That he then tried to turn it into some sort of hate crime hoax just makes it funnier.
I think the police already know that the Nebraska case is a hoax. When they mention in news reports that police are looking into if it was a hoax; it was. They just have to prove it. These people on the left don’t have to live up to the same standards as we on the right. I guess when you don’t really believe their is a God (even when you say you believe) you’re free to do whatever you want; they don’t believe they will face judgement. God open their blinded eyes.

Yes, I hope they find proof of the Nebraska case soon. And yes, their eyes need to be opened. If they don’t care for Divine judgement, as least there should be stiffer penalties for such hoaxes.
Once again our Legal system (we don’t have a justice system) fails the public.
This fudge packer should spend as much time in jail as the person falsely accused would have faced if found guilty.
That is the only way to put a stop to these scum using our legal system to further their perversion.

There was a whole Stamp Out Homophobia campaign going for him on Facebook, and I’m sure if there hadn’t been the video footage, he would’ve been more than happy to identify the 3 “suspects”. He should do jail time. The more lenient they are with these hoaxers the more it continues.
I have been checking the Lincoln online news sites for an update on that case. Nothing being said now, like it never happened.
I hope they are just biding their time. She shouldn’t get away with it....
until these filthy queers get sentenced to the time as the crime they are lying abut this crap will continue...
