Oops? President Barack Obama's re-election campaign washed its hands Wednesday of an independent group's vicious (and misleading) ad effectively blaming Mitt Romney for the death of a laid-off steelworker's wife from cancer. Campaign officials flatly denied any knowledge of the facts in the case—but it turns out the widower told the same story on an Obama campaign conference call in mid-May. (The Obama campaign responded late in the day: See update below).

"We have nothing, no involvement, with any ads that are done by Priorities USA. We don't have any knowledge of the story of the family," Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters aboard Air Force One on Wednesday.

If Obama had gotten acceptance by MENSA - You know he would have bragged about it - except for one little thing -

Barack Hussein Obama (Junior) would have to provide irrefutable documention and numbers to prove it - and MENSA turned down both Bill and Hillary Clinton when they attempted to intimidate MENSA into giving them membership.

(MENSA used to operate out of Brooklyn NY - They are now located in Texas)

ITA. This is the bunch for whom "truth is relative", that's supposing it's even relevant, as you say. And they get a double-dip from having that attitude by holding their opponents-we conservatives-to ridiculously impossible standards. It doesn't even occur to them that they should be ashamed to be hammering Romney about his tax returns, considering Geithner, considering all the records on everything Obama has kept hidden-even after running on the promise of the most transparent administration in history-considering that the whole ploy is based on a blatant lie. Not even some innuendo that Reid ran with, but a flat-out lie. And it helps them inconceivably to have the entire MSM in their back pocket.
