Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 79, the eldest member of the bench and leader of its liberal wing, said she cracked two ribs in June but met all her work obligations and remains committed to staying on the court at least three more years.
Interviewed by Reuters in her chambers on Tuesday, Justice Ginsburg said she felt fine and showed no sign of the injury, which has not been previously reported.
"At first I thought it was nothing," said Ginsburg, who fell at home. She added, however, that the injury occurred at the start of the Supreme Court's difficult final month, "so it was the worst possible time."
Ginsburg, who has survived two serious bouts with cancer, undergoes regular check-ups and said Tuesday her health on that front was "great." She continues to use a personal trainer.

Her political leanings notwithstanding, I wish her the best. Rib injuries are terrible. My poor wife broke three of hers and it was horrible pain.

She cannot “stay healthy”. Justice Ginsberg has more health problems than you can count, among them pancreatic cancer.
The best we can hope for is that she stays alive.

I read that she is desperate to hold the seat until Obama is out of office, because she believes Obama would give it to someone who is anti-Jewish.
She wants to stay on for 3 more years. Obamacare goes viral 2014. She wants to stay on until 2015 to help “find” all the challenges Constitutional. Probably to assist in finding illegals legal and gun grabs authorized, too.
Why else would she pull “3 years” out of her ass?
Every night I pray for God to let her live at least 30 seconds past Mitt’s swearing in.
