I read the article in Time and just laughed. He included a very detailed diagram of a modern cartridge and its components. According to him there are three components. He states these are 1) the bullet, 2) the casing, and 3) the powder. I showed the picture to my 14 year old nephew and asked what was missing. He said, “Uncle, there is no primer!” He goes on to scholarly state the cost of ammo is $__ per “set” of 100. I own a chess set, but a “set” of ammo? The guy is a know-nothing putz.

He leaves out the most important statistic. Crime has precipitously dropped as the number of guns in circulation has precipitously increased. Since that would expose his argument as false, he just leaves it out.

The answer is simple, dumb@$$: simply counting "homicides" is dishonest.

1. ALL murders are homicides -- but, NOT ALL homicides are murders.

2. There are "bad" homicides (murders), and "good" homicides (defensive shootings)

3. When a murder occurs, BOTH the homicide and the murder count go UP.

4. When a legal self-defense homicide occurs, the "homicide" count goes UP -- and -- the "murder" RATE algebraically DECREASES as a fraction of the whole.

5. When a legal self-defense homicide occurs, a would-be murderer is removed from the populace and gene pool...

6. The homicide rate is STABLE, and murder ("violent crime") is going DOWN.

7. Therefore, "good" (defensive) homicides are reducing the number of murders and murderers.

There is your "reason", you lying gun-grabber!!!

Some folks just need killing!! -- and that herd is being thinned.

That explains your "anomaly"!
