Zimmerman Prosecutors In Huge Screw-Up(FL)
thesmokinggun.com ^ | 9 August, 2012 | NA

Posted on 08/10/2012 7:31:01 AM PDT by marktwain

AUGUST 9--In an embarrassing screw-up, Florida prosecutors today accidentally distributed a post-mortem photo of Trayvon Martin as well as copies of George Zimmerman’s college records, material that Florida law considers confidential and exempt from disclosure.

The documents were inadvertently included in supplemental discovery records distributed this morning by prosecutor Angela Corey’s office. The material was sent to a variety of media outlets, including TSG, that have paid fees to receive discovery provided by the government to Zimmerman’s lawyer.

The photocopied picture of Martin was one of three taken by an unnamed witness. The photo mistakenly released by Corey is a black and white copy of an image depicting the teenager lying face down on a lawn.

After distributing the picture, a Corey aide sent an e-mail to reporters noting that a “photo depicting the killing of a person” was “confidential and exempt” pursuant to state law.

Zimmerman’s Seminole State College of Florida records--61 pages in total--include his original application to the community college and his class transcripts. The documents detailed Zimmerman’s poor grades, which landed him on academic probation last year.

Zimmerman, who was studying for an associate degree in criminal justice, did not graduate last year due to a failed class. Following the February 26 shooting of the unarmed Martin, Zimmerman “was issued administrative withdrawals” for three classes in the Spring 2012 term “with no fees charged against his account.”

One has to wonder the relevance of college transcripts to anything given they have none to leading this country.

Double shot of stupid?

If Obama's transcripts show he was a foreign exchange student then he either lied about his status then, or now, and it has a lot of bearing on his "leading the country" on any issue, not to mention immigration.

Tepid support? Meaning 90 instead of 91%? I have seen nothing to say his support is tepid.

No, it was intentional. They know they don’t have a case so they’d rather have it thrown out than have him proclaimed innocent. This way they can still claim he’s guilty and only got off on a technicality.

Corey definitely needs to be strung up.

If the judge allows this incident to pass, he needs to swing as well.

The judge is in on it up to the top of his head. A snowflake in hell would have more of a chance than George Zimmerman has. In fact, his trial will make a Soviet Union era show trial seem fair in comparasion.

What are the chances this will go to trial before Election Day, Nov. 6?

None -- the docket hearing was pushed back to October 3rd and there are a lot more motions to file.

This was deliberate.

The prosecutor KNOWS she’s going to lose, so if she can get this thrown out on a technicality, then Zimmerman still would look guilty even though he is innocent.

This would also protect the parent's civil lawsuit. Being dismissed rather than found not guilty gives them a better shot at a wrongful death verdict.

This is, in fact, a Soviet-style show trial...designed only to further the Socio-Political ends of the state...

The documents detailed Zimmerman’s poor grades, which landed him on academic probation last year.

That's prime police officer material. He knew his calling. The average law enforcement hireling has an IQ of 80.

For real.

The chances of Zimmerman being found not guilty are higher than the Chance that the sun will rise in the west tomorrow morning. This is a Soviet era show trial, to satisy the blood lust of Holder’s people and the members of the Lynch Zimmerman mob both on and off this forum. And to demonestrate to America’s favorite reverends that Republicans are not preduiced and biased.

Great post and some really good comments. Being at the top of my field(different state) for over 30 years, I find some things disconcerting. How do the college records get to the Prosecutor in the first place. If they obtain them by Warrant or consent, they can’t diseminate to the media. If Z’s lawyer turned them over, as reciprocal discovery, they can’t diseminate to third parties(and for a fee no less). How did they get the records? This is confidential. Only available through Judge’s order or signed release by Z.
The 911 calls in this case are all over the media. That is the public record. They need consent and/or an order to get Z’s phone records. This Prosecutor is on a vendetta. Unfortunately, she will end up like Nifong in the Duke LAX case.

The only reason to release this information is to influence the Jury Pool and possibly create a public uproar. The Judge has already refused to recuse themselves so I think the whole case is fixed at this point Prosecutor should be removed and sent to Ethics Board(at a minimum). She can also be sued by Z and his lawyer. There isn’t immunity for this type of violation.

WTF? Over.

You gotta be talkin' K-9 recruits, right? A decent hunting dog has to be over 80.

No; “tepid support” has nothing to do with what percentage of the vote Obozo gets, but “turn-out”. He will still get 95% of the Black vote, it will just be 95% of a much smaller number of votes. They are not nearly as excited about this Election as they were in 2008 because Obozo has not produced for the brothas like they thought he should. Also, the “same-sex marriage” thing really has the “true” Black Christian Pastors and church members outraged. One Black lady was standing on a busy street corner with a Bible and a sign saying do NOT vote for Barack Obama. And, after the Supreme Court upheld ObamaCare as a tax, a poll two days later showed his Black support in Georgia at 68 percent.

Blacks will not vote for Romney, but many of them will stay home. They will not clear out the jail houses, crack houses and HO houses this time like they did in ‘08.....guarantee it!!! That’s what I meant by “tepid” support.

Why are you making me work so hard this morning, wiggen? LOL.

Obviously it wasn’t obvious. Since we have sleeper moonbat accounts “inside the wire” on FR and we have “true-conservatives” who hate Romney and the RNC more than they dislike what Obama is doing to the country, then yeah, you need to put sarc/snark tags on such if that’s what you mean.
