Residents of Las Vegas tend to be armed. In one neighborhood I lived, condos went section 8, I had a police helicopter circling the neighborhood nearly every week, and my gun at my side. Two weeks ago, a tree trimmer hopped my fence to clean up his mess. After I chewed him out, security came out and told him and his crew it was a good way to get sent home to one’s wife in a box. He was lucky my German Shepherd wasn’t out because he would have been severely mauled. If I didn’t live in a guard gated community, and hadn’t seen the trimmers earlier next door, he would have met my gun. Survival in Las Vegas- a big, protective dog and a gun. If the tourists had any clue of the real crime rate in Las Vegas....
