At the kink the kind of solid, fact-based work David Barton is known for an which makes the ungodly liberal media VERY, VERY nervous! That's why the "powers that be" are on the attack against one of America's great scholars.

We may never know who "got to" Thomas Nelson Publishers and what the company was threatened with. But my guess is that there was some bullying involved -- perhaps by the Obama regime's IRS.

What we DO know is that right-thinking Americans will stand with David Barton. Go out today and buy "The Jefferson Lies" while you still can! Let's do for David Barton what we did for Chick-Fil-A! Let 'em see the LONG LINES of people at bookstores demanding the right to purchase Barton's ground-breaking book!

David Barton is a class act. His wealth of knowledge about the real history verses history revisionism is incredable. The left has no shame when someone talks with facts. God Bless David and yes we need to post this everywhere and stand in support with him

Here- Here- David Barton just reads from original founder’s documents and da Dems go nuts. Try this one “David Barton - 02/29/2012 -America’s Most Biblically-Hostile U. S. President “ When one observes President Obama’s unwillingness to accommodate America’s four-century long religious conscience protection through his attempts to require Catholics to go against their own doctrines and beliefs, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Catholic. But that characterization would not be correct. Although he has recently singled out Catholics, he has equally targeted traditional Protestant beliefs over the past four years. So since he has attacked Catholics and Protestants, one is tempted to say that he is anti-Christian. But that, too, would be inaccurate.”...more at:

I have read a few of his books (not the Jefferson one yet - but now I will get it quickly) and found them well researched and written. I did not know about the Thomas Nelson deal, but in looking at the Amazon “reviews” it seems to be a liberals gone wild situation.

I find it amazing how all these negative reviewers on Amazon have so much time to buy/obtain, read and critique so many Conservative and/or Christian books, sometimes before they are even available for distribution.

Here is David Barton's response to some of his critics. The vociferous nature of these attacks seems very much like a coordinated liberal onslaught. You rarely see this level of vitriol for a history book. And the hate-filled, foaming at the mouth reviews on Amazon are priceless comedy.

The Jefferson Lies: Taking on the Critics

I bought a copy last night because of their personal attacks against Barton. I'm sure he appreciates the free publicity. I had not even heard of the book until the left got involved. I may go back for a few more to give as gifts if they continue this infantile behavior.

God Bless our friends on the left, and give them the peace they so desperately need.

I agree completely about David Barton - a fine man. He is on GBTV right now, talking for the entire hour about this. You can get a free two-week subscription and watch it on-demand later - well worth it.

I understand that Thomas Nelson will not allow the book to be sold or distributed now ... I *believe (not 100% sure) that they took about 20K words out of the book, so you can’t get the original book through the normal channels.

I didn’t realize I was getting a collector’s edition of The Jefferson Lies when he signed it for me at the Blaze Bookstore at Restoring Love in Dallas. We had been interviewed for Wallbuilders Live two years ago by Rick Green, and he and David Barton recorded an intro and outro to the interview after our phone interview was completed. I was tickled to be able to chat with him about that a little - he is a good man, no doubt about it.

This is shameful.
