An Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation agent has been assigned to a two-year term in Secretary of State Matt Schultzs office to look into allegations of voter fraud, the Republican election chiefs top cause, The Associated Press has learned.
County auditors, who run local elections, told the AP they were surprised when they were introduced to Special Agent Daniel Dawson and informed of his new role during a training meeting Wednesday in Cedar Rapids. Auditors said they also were taken aback when Dawson and another state official told them that he was looking into between 2,000 and 3,000 voters already...
Schultz, who took office last year, has vowed in recent months to prove that voter fraud exists, as he relentlessly pushes lawmakers to pass a law requiring voters to show photo identification, which he says would safeguard elections. Many Democrats and some local officials say that requirement is not needed because of Iowas history of clean elections...
Schultzs aides already have taken a number of steps to look for voter fraud and clean up outdated registration information. Theyve compared the voters in Iowas 2010 election against names of voters from 14 other states in the same election to see if individuals voted multiple times. Theyve also hired an outside vendor, InfoGroup, to help auditors identify and remove hundreds of deceased individuals from Iowas voter registration database of 2.1 million names.
Theyve used state driving records to identify more than 1,000 registered voters who may not be citizens and are seeking access to a federal database to check their citizenship status before taking steps to remove them. Emergency rules enacted last month require auditors to send voting histories for those people, along with election registers they signed and absentee ballot envelopes, to Schultzs office...

Working with the Iowa DOT, my office has identified more than a thousand registered voters who are potentially not citizens of this country. The federal government maintains a database called the Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlement (SAVE). SAVE maintains information about an individuals immigration status, including whether they have become naturalized as a citizen and, if so, when. After seeking access to this database in order to verify the citizenship status of these individuals, we finally were informed in late July that the federal government would give the State of Iowa access to that database to verify citizenship and that Iowa would be required to submit a new application. As a result we immediately enacted administrative rules to clarify to the federal government, and the public, what legal process we would use to remove non-citizens from the voter rolls. The new rules enhance the due process available to individuals identified through this effort.
To be as fair as possible in this process, we are giving every individual a hearing prior to being removed from the voter rolls. No county auditor, I repeat, no auditor has been directed to remove any persons name from the voter registration rolls for being a non-citizen. There is no purge of non-citizens taking place in Iowa and to say otherwise is a misrepresentation of the facts.
Our only intent has been to work for integrity and honesty in elections. That is what the people of Iowa hired me to do and I take it as a serious responsibility of this office.""
This is why Soros spent so much money on his SOS Project. As Stalin said, “Those who cast the votes decide nothing. Those who count the votes decide everything “.
Damn fine work, Mr. Schultz. You are an example for the rest of them!
Glad to see my state is finally taking steps to try to keep vote fraud.
Holder and company will be filing a suit in 3, 2, 1
Whoops. I meant to say “keep vote fraud from happening.
That’s what happens when an old fart like me gets an interruption. Darn it.
Why not just look at all 56 other states?
Seriously, Walker/Schultz would be a great team..........

IIRC Iowa was down on the list, eighth or ninnth in voter fraud in the 2006-8 elections. Wish others would look around to see how other states are handling it. Many are making efforts, but the primary problem seem to occur in the cities. In small town and rural communities we know our neighbors.
The stories of bus loads from out of state have been documented. Would like to see at least one load arrested and made an example.
