WALLA WALLA, Wash. -- A jury found John Saul justified in shooting Cesar Chavira to death back in May in Walla Walla's New York Store.
An attorney for Chavira's family stated a wrongful death civil suit will be filed against Saul.
Walla Walla's prosecuting attorney will be reviewing case and decide what the next step is.
Owner John Saul said he caught Cesar Chavez stealing belts and buckles red-handed before unloading as many as five shotgun rounds into the 22-year-old.
The issue went to a panel of jurors when investigators couldn't determine if John Saul acted properly by shooting Chavira as he broke into Saul's store.
Some of those who testified included first responders, pathologists and Chavira's girlfriend.
Franklin County's coroner was asked to be the judge in the case because he is considered the expert in the state. He's been a part of two other inquests in his career, more than anyone else.
Funny how this sounds a bit like the Treyvon/Zimmerman case.
Thugs getting caught being thugs and that leads to their own demise.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.
I’ve noticed that many of the FR posters who were defending angelic Treyvon and demanding the blood of Zimmerman have either left or have shut their mouths.
The downtown of Walla Walla is one of the cutest places in the US. Washington state is so gorgeous.....mountains, volcanoes, desert, RAIN FOREST......it has the most BEAUTIFUL topography I’ve ever seen.
Just about all of southeastern Washington has become a hotbed for illegal aliens and these gang bangers come up disguised as migrant farmworkers or are the first generation of their children. It used to be mainly Yakima but now it has invaded the Tri-Cities and Walla Walla.
Hooray for this store owner.
Cesar Chavez has not been stealing belts and buckles for quite a while now. He has been dead for quite a few years.
But he is still voting for Democrats.
Ammo is cheap, life is dear. Shoot early, shoot often.
Wow...was there anything left of the guy?
Huh? I went to junior high school in walla walla, and don't remember it being particularly beautiful. But I have not laid eyes on it as an adult...hmmm.
Aren't Walla-Wallas protected by the Endangered Species Act?
Walla Walla is the place they liked so much they named it twice.
“Huh? I went to junior high school in walla walla, and don’t remember it being particularly beautiful.”
Well, take your seeing eye dog and your altzheimer’s meds and go visit ;-)
I especially like the state penitentiary ;-)
My best friend grew up in Grant's Pass, Oregon and when my husband and I saw it we thought it was MAGNIFICENT.....so my friend went back and AGREED....the beauty didn't register when she was a kid.....now it does. The NORTHWEST is UNBELIEVABLY BEAUTIFUL!!!
I don’t know about any others, but this one offered a public apology to those here who were defending Zimmerman, and now I spend quite a bit of time at the Conservative Treehouse discussing the case. I am Zimmerman’s biggest supporter, because I don’t like to be duped.

You’re right. FR is infested with a goodly number of Soros and DU trolls. It’s difficult to weed these commies out. You need to look at their sign-up date and posts. That takes time. Then you need to present the evidence to the mods before they release lightning and the Viking kitties.
I suppose they are going to name a boulevard after the perp now.
