Ryan brings nothing to VA and FL which we need.
At least Rubio or Gov of VA would bring that state we need.
The media will have a field day with this if true but I’m thinking this is a misdirection .
If it was a misdirection, Romney campaign would be trying to tamp down expectations for Ryan to be picked. They aren’t doing that. Ryan would be excellent!
It’s not just about the individual battleground states. Ryan appeals to suburban women. GOP gets that demo and they win the election.
McDonnell has never been on the national stage so there is a bit of an unknown there. Governor of VA is a plus for sure but how will he react when he gets carpet bombed by the MSM?
OTOH, Ryan has been through that fire and has already pimp slapped the kenyan during the health care roundtable. Ryan doesn’t back down.
I like Rubio but unfortunately I think he is out with the Crist mafia in the campaign.
The safe pick here is McDonnell. Romney needs VA and McDonnell is not a beltway type. Ryan is a riskier choice and based on the last few weeks I don’t see Romney rolling the dice with Ryan.
