MY Guess- a person not on the radar: Ohio Gov. John Kasich.

He's a smarter pick than Ryan because John actually balanced a budget.

At the very least I would love to see christie out in front of the cameras daily just ripping zippy a new one ! Can you imagine Christie unleashed, just following zippy around pointing out every stupid thing zippy says? It would be awesome , heck get newt in there too... Have them in stereo! Now THAT would be a great campaign!

Yes, Ryan was on vacation in Colorado, but now that he is seen back in Janesville, WI, tonight, they are saying he came back for the funeral for the victims of the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek.

Ryan is a good pick because he has a plan for economic recovery for the US that he has been pressing for.

The dems and Obama have already refuted it.

Game on.

The election IS about Obama. Ryan can quote chapter and verse of what Obama has done wrong to get us in this position and Ryan has the plan to get us out.

Every second spent by the dems and Obama trying to denounce it, puts the subject back on Obama.

Therefore the election NOW turns from “Romney killed my wife”, to Fluke to Nuts (like Liz Warren etc) to THE ECONOMY and Obama’s record, or IOW, Obama.

well, McDonnell does know how to work the stage - and he’s not stiff.

Of course, all we’ll hear for the next 3 months is: “Two rich White Guys!” That will play to the crowd - especially blacks.

Love it! Hate a lot of Christies positions, but love his bawls. Mitt needs to grow a sack. Unfortunately, Mitt doesn’t have enough guts to pick Chris.

Obama has taken the gloves off, Christie could match him and up the anti. Mitt is a wuss. He needs an attack dog for a V P.

Sounds good to me, but way more than a soundbite...in an age of short attention spans. He may be great, but Obama didn't win on great. He won on "black." That's the truth. He won on a blink, a soundbite. It's a different world than what it should be. I don't know if Ryan will really "sell" Romney to anyone that isn't already planning to vote Romney. A Rubio would guarantee Florida -- required. Sold on Ryan, personally, but not for VP to help throw Romney over the top.

Thanks for the info, though. Helpful.

Everything I see points to Ryan. Not a bad choice if Ryan will be the attack dog aromney definitely needs.
No more Mr Nice Guy.
I’m giving Obama a 60/40 chance of winning as of tonight. If Ryan can play hardball, he is young, dynamic, smart, and a practicing Roman Catholic, which might make a difference.
Here’s hoping!

STEPHEN HAYES says Rubio received a call telling him he WILL NOT be the VP running mate. Just on Fox.

This will draw the Hispanic (American, legal) vote.

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows Mitt Romney attracting support from 47% of voters nationwide, while President Obama earns the vote from 43%. Four percent (4%) prefer some other candidate, and six percent (6%) are undecided.

And this poll doesn’t oversample Dems by 7 to 19% like all the other recent polls showing Obama ahead have done, including Fox which uses an outside firm to do its polling.

Your right he is losing in every over sampled Democrat poll of registered voters. The Fox poll has Democrats over sampled by 9. But he's been been up by 4 at Rasmussen for the last 2 days, and Gallup had it tied today. Which are likely voter polls that track daily, much more stable results. Romney is ahead in Florida, and only down by a point or 2 in Ohio & Virgina. This is far from over.

I don't like Romney any more than you do, but we can't afford another 4 years of Obama. Obama is most likely going to lose.

No matter which one of these 2 idiots wins,we'll need more Conservatives in congress as a check. The chances are very good we'll take the Senate, and the House is not in play.

McDonnell may be a good choice - but they’ll have to hit the ground running to get him known!

This should help

People may like what McDonnell has done in Virginia - and trust - at least hope with evidence to hope on - that he can be instrumental in helping Romney turn things around

It could be a worse choice
