Great the first study does show a positive correlation between one on one instruction and grades. But please remember the question I asked was about the end results. Are home school students more mentally/ emotionally stable as adults, are they better parents, do they earn a higher income?

Also the problem with the studies you showed on grades relates to "norming."

In the military we would have certain elite groups, Green Berets, Airborne Rangers, etc...

Men would try out for them and a certain percentage would make it and a much larger percentage would not.

If you measured the performance of each group you would get a certain number and that average would be higher for the elite group.Now if you needed to increase the number of soldiers in that elite group and you added to it from the finite group you had that did "make it" your average performance would drop over time due the phenomenon known as "norming".
