Wintertime may have good reason not to want to hand out identifying information on the internet. I don’t blame her. I’ve got a first name + last name combination that is pretty much unique. I also work in an industry where I don’t really want my political postings known, and my husband’s job prospects could be affected.

I’ve been stalked on the internet, I know people who have been. It’s not funny to joke about. I know people who had random strangers call up their house and leave threatening phone messages after tracking them down on the internet, and that was over a game. Don’t claim it’s a fantasy. It’s not, and it’s not funny.
