Paul Ryan Is Mitt Romney’s Game-Changer

Mitt Romney really wants to win this thing! After watching Team Obama turn the 2012 presidential election into a sideshow of discussions on minutiae, tax returns, horses, and Olympics, it was thrilling to see Romney finally seize control of this election narrative in naming Rep. Paul Ryan his running mate.

Ryan is Mitt Romney's game changer. Period! As House Budget Committee Chairman, Ryan crafted a bold budget in 2011which proposed $6.2 trillion of cuts in government spending over 10 years. Ryan's budget included reforming the tax code, offering Medicaid block grants to the states, Medicare premium subsidies so seniors can choose private insurance and giving people the option of investing their Social Security benefits. It passed in the House and course the Democrat Senate has taken no action on it or proposed an alternative.

In picking Ryan, Romney put President Obama on notice that he will no longer be able to run from his record of economic failure, broken promises and lies. As of August 11th, this election will be about the important things facing our country, “the higher unemployment, declining incomes and crushing debt” caused by Obama’s “misguided polices,” said Ryan. Standing ready for battle, against the backdrop of the USS Wisconsin, in Norfolk, Virginia, Ryan continued with the obvious, “This is the worst economic recovery in 70 years.”

After hearing Romney's news, Obama tried to obfuscate his record yet again, tweeting Saturday in response to Romney’s VP announcement:

“Paul Ryan is an architect of the top-down GOP budget that cuts education, energy, & innovation even as it gives tax cuts to the wealthy.”

The truth is Obama has been the architect of nothing but misery for Americans: $16 trillion in debt, 42 straight months of 8% plus unemployment, diminished wealth, and 1 in 6 Americans becoming poor.

Ryan knows America’s piggy bank has gone bust and Ryan has been the architect of a plan to get America’s fiscal house in order so Granny won’t lose her Medicare and fall off the cliff in her wheelchair. Ryan and Romney have faced the reality America can’t sustain our current levels of spending. Obama, on the other hand, wants to spend America out of greatness, even ignoring the dire warnings from his own Simpson Bowles debt reduction commission: “The era of debt denial is over, and there can be no turning back.”

With Ryan as his running mate, Romney has the ammunition to make every second of every minute of every day of this campaign about the fact that “Regrettably, President Obama has become part of the problem and Mitt Romney is the solution,” as Ryan said. Obama has spent over $1 trillion dollars every year he’s been in office, “creating the largest deficits and biggest federal government since World War II,” Ryan noted. Certainly, this is not the kind of hope and change Americans wanted in 2008.

Obama has made it clear he doesn’t believe in American exceptionalism. But Ryan reminded us America is “the only country founded on an idea. Our rights come from nature and God, not government. We promise equal opportunity, not equal outcomes.”

“This idea is founded on the principles of liberty, freedom, free enterprise, self-determination and government by consent of the governed. This idea is under assault,” Ryan added.

Conversely, Obama believes without government we can’t build businesses or achieve anything as individuals. Obama’s re-election campaign promotes the Life of Julia a fictitious woman who depends upon government from cradle to grave to exist. Obama’s policies demonize success and promote Robin Hood policies that take from those who work hard and redistribute their successes to those who work less. This is not America!

“We have a critical decision to make as a nation,” warned Ryan. Voters can chose the path upon which this nation was founded “the principles of liberty, freedom, free enterprise, self-determination and government by consent of the governed,” he said. Or Americans can allow Obama to continue to grow an unsustainable nanny state, void of jobs, where Americans are dependent upon government to live.

You know a conservative is a real threat to liberals when they begin to heap mountains of hate onto him or her. Shortly after Romney announced Ryan as his VP pick, CNN's Candy Crowley crowed, “looks a little bit like some sort of ticket death wish.”

Ryan bolstered Romney’s run for president -- and that is scaring the heck out of liberals like Crowley. Mitt and Paul combined have a better plan for renewing America than the current duo running the show. In one day, Ryan helped Romney haul in $3.5 million. That doesn’t look like a death wish ticket to me.

Dear Candy, the death wish occurred in 2008 with the election of Barack Obama. If Americans are really honest with themselves, they will admit Obama has been an utter disaster.

Mr. Romney said of Ryan, "I did not make a mistake with this guy.” No you didn’t Mitt. As Liberals look on with fear, envy and loathing, America’s Comeback Team is off to a roaring start. We the people can’t wait to see what lies around the corner.

Even now the professional Mittbots who were counting Sarah's underwear as she ran for office with McCain, are sniffing around Ryan's family.

Just a matter of time until something pops up out of that aspect of Mittbot smarminess and we'll see if the 'Ticket' can even hold together.

Ryan is perhaps the best choice and he has and win energize the republican and conservative base. I was really fearing that Romney would “play it safe” and pic Palenty or be racial and pic Condi Rice. Either of those two would have put the GOP base to sleep. Ryan believes and articulates conservativsim and be more convincing than the Obama Admin. combined.

There is True panic on the left.

What the Ryan pick means to me .... is that Romney really is serious about getting our financial house in order and is willing to make the hard choices necessary to fix this country.

By picking Ryan, Romney grabbed the most bi-partisan part of the tea party movement (the fiscally sensible part)

I sure hope so; Paul pick much mean we’re going to deal with and carefully remove the Reserve. Anything else will not avail.

All that I know is that I woke up this morning... grabbed some coffee and tuned into abc news interviewing romney and Ryan... Ryan sat beside mitt and remained silent. When asked about Ryan’s “radical economic plan” romney sharply responded, “WE ARE RUNNING ON MY ECONOMIC PLAN... NOT RYAN’S”.

[Article] Ryan is Mitt Romney's game changer.

Really? Think Romney will let him "change" anything? Even a lightbulb?

Romney's weakness is existential; he emits a penumbra of weakness, and shadows of weakness fall on anything exposed to his radiant shadowiness.

Ryan's been like a rubber dummy in some of those "joint" appearances. And Romney made it clear that everything Ryan has ever said or done, is now Romney's "property".

We'll see how that works out.

Nice apotheosis of Mittens. His magic underpants must be working, because he's smilin'.

McCain hired on Romney's old campaign staff in 2008. The first thing they did is go on a tear to destroy Sarah Palin.

Like their cousins in the wild they will return to their vomit.

Thought you knew that.

Romney has two ambitions ~ (1) To run for President, and (2) To disable Conservatism in all it's various manifestations.

I suppose he thinks he's nailed all that down by taking Ryan out of the House and hanging him out to dry.

So the Tokyo Rose “conservative” group is heard from.

You do realize Democrat Underground and other far left wing websites go around collecting your posts as proof that “Obama is winning the election”?

Your sort of “conservative” are the useful propaganda idiots of the Democrat party propaganda machine.

I don't hate anyone, but I fear and dislike Obama and his running dog lackeys enough that if it were not unlawful I'd dispose of any opposition in Republican ranks to running a Conservative against him.

You people have failed us and we will be stuck with that crowd for far longer than this country can stand.
