“...just the ones we need to be effective: Black, evil, assault weapons...”

My friend, a skilled man with even an old WWII Enfield, Mauser, or Garand and the will and determination of a person fighting for their very life can create living hell for these folks. A scoped deer rifle as well. Any gun will get you a better gun.

Look at the little stamped metal WWII Liberator .45 pistol. It probably put more German 9mm MP38/40s, FG42s, G43s and Mauser rifles into the hands of partisans than we realized.

It’s the will, not the weapon.

They can ban, demonize, scream and caterwaul till the cows come home. If we roll over and play good doggie, they’ve won.

If we instead show that we’re willing not only to piss on their legs at every opportunity but also “sic balls, Chopper!!” how enthusiastic do you think they’ll be to play out their little fantasy when people on their side start waking up dead?

Sure, some folks will give up. Not everyone is a warrior, not everyone is a sheepdog. Pretty much always has been that way. I imagine that a good many folks during the American Revolution were as pissed off at the Patriots as they were at the Brits...and they did nothing except watch out for which flag to fly at the end of the day.

But there are others - millions of others - who will carry the fight right to the living rooms, bedrooms, restaurants, etc., where these cretins congregate. It would be “War to the knife and knife to the hilt.”

It won’t be easy, it won’t be cheap, and it won’t be painless. Idiots like this *sswipe who wrote the article don’t seem to understand that.

Those who let slip the dogs of war are often the most surprised when the other side lets their OWN dogs slip as well.

What’s that old saying - it ain’t the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog...or something like it?

And this piece IS pure agitprop; it was written to elicit exactly the reaction it’s getting out here, right now. Guarantee we have the other side trolling this thread, right now, taking and making notes.

That’s how they operate.

In many cases the deer rifle will be your more effective weapon (relative to an AR-15). Range, accuracy and even the terminal-effects on the 'target' would all be superior. The drawback is, of course, rate-of-fire and maintaining a target picture.

BTW, when I mentioned effect on target I am assuming that we're dealing with troops clad in body armor & kevlar.

Both points are true. The original piece reads like the whining taunt of an unwelcome child who is running home from a neighborhood game after being picked last at stickball.

With respect to the unsympathetic lurkers... why, that's positive. Based on comparative reply count for this thread, it's a reasonably interesting issue for our indigenous posting population, and there's not a lot of dissent on ideological position. Extrapolate that to the greater FR population, and thence to red states, and you get the sense that automatic success assumptions might be served by revisitation of expectations by the opposition.

In other words, "this is a really bad idea".

Most of us on this thread that it would be worthwhile to take notes on are already tagged for being potentially uncooperative. If you think you're anonymous on this site, you've not been paying a lot of attention to modern technology and how easy it is for a determined adversary to snoop the nets with you have devices like 'carnivore' at MAE-East and MAE-West, amongst other places.
