Paul Ryan’s speech at the Iowa fair was televised yesterday. He was on his own. Started out kind of rough but got better as he went on. Of course there were disupters in the crowd. Some tried to get on the stage, others tried to shout him down, others got violent punching one woman in the face and pushing a woman republican rep to the ground!

The entire campaign will be like that!
BTW...why does everyone, some republicans too, keep calling the Ryan plan controversial or extreme?

Well not so good...browsed FR and made mistake of reading the “Rove, Obama has 271 Electoral Votes” thread. Depressing as hell. We all have our work cut out for us. It feels like 2008. Held my nose to vote for McCain (but agreed w/Palin); now I like & support Ryan...but the other R guy, not so much. Really...not at all...but he IS a gazillion times better than Soetaro.

Rove is upset because Jeb isn’t in the race. He is technically correct on the count but the race is extremely fluid. Go to Real Clear Politics and look at the electoral count, it’s not bad at all. Trending to Romney.
The polls Rove is using are questionable and even he admits that.
It’s all going to come down to the debates.

And, unfortunately, every moderator that’s been chosen for the debates are shills for obama. I think Newt was on to something when he thought there should be a Loncoln-Douglas type of debates where we can really compare the candidates side by side as opposed to having softball questions tossed at obama and “gotcha” questions thrown at out side.
