When this first broke there was (IIRC) a radio guy who was saying that Sandusky was pimping the poor kids out to big donors. I have no way to know if that was true or not and the guy saying that was intimidated into shutting up.
Whether he was intimidated because his info was questionable or something worse like physical threats, I don't know but I was disappointed that it wasn't at least being looked into.
I suppose it was good practice NOT to throw it out there in the press until/unless they're certain that there's something there. I guess a Booster is probably the same as a big donor. They certainly shouldn't be immune to justice just because they're wealthy or connected--as in DHS connected!!!
“Integrity”. They’re supposed to have some and they don’t.
Yes, I understand.
<>August 6, 2012: To warn the institution that its accreditation is in jeopardy based on information contained in the institutionally commissioned Report of the Special Investigative Counsel (Freeh, Sporkin & Sullivan, LLP, July 12, 2012) and the Binding Consent Decree Imposed by the National Collegiate Athletic Association and Accepted by the Pennsylvania State University (July 23, 2013)...<>
So the Freeh Report, solely relied upon by the NCAA to impose its sanctions, is now being used by this Commission to further threaten Penn State.
What will happen when the Freeh Report blows up in their faces???

Not sure.... This whole thing is a mess, and only those responsible (which could number in the hundreds) should be called on the carpet for it. I don’t think accreditation commissions should be actioning on anything. I think the facts of the Freeh report are such a stretch when warning an institution that they have violated commission accreditation standards. Plus, if you look at those standards, they are so vaguely written that you would wonder how any institution remains accredited. What a scam...
