Frankly, as a multi-generational Cincinnatian, I think that Ryan will actually help the ticket more in Southern Ohio than would Portman. Portman is a nice guy, but does not fire people up. Ryan is a truly exciting candidate, who really understands the economic issues.

Frankly, everyone I have talked to, so far, is really enthusiastic over the choice.

I’m sure Greenfield’s article about how Obama’s EPA rules closing coal mines in OH could cause the loss of usual union votes will be following up next week.

When was the last time that Greenfield was right about anything?

5 generations in SW Ohio and I agree with you. I cannot find anyone, out side his family and business associates, who is enthused about Portman. But Ryan does the job and has a better chance of helping carry Ohio than Portman.
