Romney: Obama’s Campaign Disgraces Presidency
Fox News ^ | Tuesday, August 14, 2012 | Todd Starnes

Posted on 08/14/2012 4:55:23 PM PDT by kristinn

Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney will deliver a powerful rebuke of President Obama’s campaign this evening. His remarks come after Vice President Joe Biden told supporters “They’re going to put y’all back in chains” — speaking about Republicans.

The Obama campaign later said the president did not have a problem with Biden’s statement.

Following are the excerpts from Romney’s speech:

“For the first time, most Americans believe that our best days are behind us. This is an election in which we should be talking about the path ahead, but you don’t hear any answers coming from President Obama’s re-election campaign. That’s because he’s intellectually exhausted, out of ideas, and out of energy. And so his campaign has resorted to diversions and distractions, to demagoguing and defaming others. This is an old game in politics; what’s different this year is that the president is taking things to a new low.

SNIP

"His campaign and his surrogates have made wild and reckless accusations that disgrace the office of the Presidency. Another outrageous charge came a few hours ago in Virginia. And the White House sinks a little bit lower.

“This is what an angry and desperate Presidency looks like.

“President Obama knows better, promised better and America deserves better.

“Over the last four years, this President has pushed Republicans and Democrats as far apart as they can go. And now he and his allies are pushing us all even further apart by dividing us into groups. He demonizes some. He panders to others. His campaign strategy is to smash America apart and then cobble together 51 percent of the pieces.

SNIP

"So, Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago and let us get about rebuilding and reuniting America.”

I the only one who thinks that Biden is going to come up some sort of “health issue” soon?

Oh, no, no, no, please no! I sooo want to see Biden debating Ryan. Yeah, I'm a sadist. BTT.

Well, that Biden soundbite came at the best possible time when America is forming their opinion on Ryan as a VP pick. It just creates a nice contrast.

Whoa. Some speechwriter just earned his or her salary. That was a knockout.

No more Mr. Nice Guy. No more McCains. Romney wants my vote, he'd better start doing...this.

“So, Mr. President, take your campaign of division and anger and hate back to Chicago and let us get about rebuilding and reuniting America.”

He needs to start using the phrase "Chicago values".

When you understand that the nations debt is on an unsustainable trajctory that will destroy all of the social programs and devalue the currency and you have children and grandchildren than what does it say about your selfishness that you would allow that to happen?

Wow!

This is August, what will October be like?

Win or lose, Obama, Axelrod, et al will know they’ve been in a fight.

I’ve been saying since Ryan was named that Obama is desperate now to dump Biden and replace him with someone like Hillary. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is some act to take him out on health issues or so Joe “can spend more time with his family.”
The timing in relation to the Ryan announcement seems too perfect to be a coincidence.

““They’re going to put y’all back in chains””

Obama and crew have been throwing chains on all of us at an alarming rate. People feel those chains. But what the democrats are good at is shifting the blame away from themselves and on to someone else. And many people are just too stupid to know any better.

Anyways- This reminded me of an old song by Dio called Egypt-(The Chains are on). Complete with Drum Solo.

Obama just helped to put the chains back on Egyptians also - That is for sure.

Beginning to sound like there may be a little spine there that is not reserved solely for Republican opposition in the primaries.

I just got through throwing a wall-eyed fit while replacing a thermostat on the refrigerator. It wasn’t because of the refrigerator.

It is because I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. Just before I sat down here I told my wife I am ashamed and embarrassed for the United States. We are like a drunk in the gutter wallowing in our own vomit and excrement.

obastard has shamed the nation, he and his gang of vermin and snakes have disgraced the white hut and the whole of the United States. We look and sound more like a banana republic and this campaign is disgusting the way he and his henchmen are conducing it. He and his choom gang make me vomit.

We don’t have good days with obastard and never will. We just have days that don’t suck as much as other days and there are getting to be fewer and fewer of those all the time.

He and his pack need to be punished in the most severe ways possible. This is a nightmare. He alone has sneered his way through tearing the whole country to pieces and he is laughing the whole time if he cares at all.

I hate him.
