We lost a good one up here in C FL. Sandy Adams (who won the seat last time over Obamacare last minute vote-switcher Suzanne Kosmas) lost in a primary to the Chair of Transportation Committee John Mica. Mica is not a terrible voter, but he’s been in DC for too long and is half conservative, half crony capitalist.

Adams lost today in a contested primary due to redistricting (the state poobahs did to Adams what they tried to do to Allen West and knock out the first term conservatives). Mica’s ads were filthy disgusting...worse than anything Romney did to Newt or Santorum in the primary. He overwhelmed her with spending and dirty messaging.

Adams loses her seat, and we lose a real champion. I had the pleasure of meeting her staff and they were actively working in committees to hit the Obama bureaucrats hard on EPA issues among others. She is a former sheriff and state rep. We need to make sure she finds another way to get back in an office or in another role.

Wife and I both went and voted for Sandy Adams today. Mica needs to retire so she can get that seat in 2014.
We are opposed to the the SunRail project and cannot figure why Mica supported it; has to be lobbyist kickbacks as there is not any chance it will ever meet the expectations they envision.
Mica did give a recommendation for my neighbor's daughter to get into West Point earlier this year but that is his job and not an incentive for me to vote for him.
