I think the biological mother’s mistake that precipitated the whole case was seeking child support from her ex-partner. That gave the other person the right to demand visitation.

In one of the original articles, it stated “Ms. Jenkins signed a promise to pay child support, and they agreed, she said, that she and her parents would remain in Isabella’s life.” If you demand money, you’re keeping the other person tied to you.

If the mother wanted the option to dissolve the union and just move out and never see the other, she shouldn’t have demanded money.
