Alot of democrats switched sides during Reagan's terms because everyone loves a winner, and effectively diluted the party.

Besides, we should suspect the intellectual capacity of anyone who couldn't see through Obama from the very beginning.

But who knows, maybe this guy has become a rock ribbed conservative.

And I very much believe and still believe in the America that you heard me describe in that line from the very forgettable nominating speech four years ago.

He can poke fun at himself, a good sign.

Might be a person of conscience aware that there will be NO democrat party left w/ 2nd obi-wan term. OR, he could be a Clintonite... shaping the "dialogue".

One potential important element here is the conservative (culturally anyway) black family churchgoing vote.... that has abandoned obama over queer marriage. That and keeping his own congressional seat in a R sweep on coattails.

I think it would be a great idea for this man to speak at the Convention.

Artur Davis is a genuine gentleman and stands by his word. I think his switch will do nothing but boost the GOP.

At the explosion of the housing crisis he was the only one who stood up and admitted that he was wrong and misinformed. He’s a good guy an we should welcome him with open arms. The cynical need not apply.

When did Obama come out as being pro gay marriage? Is it possible that blacks are finally saying enough is enough? Of course, the vast majority will still vote Dem, but doesn’t anyone believe that more and more are waking up? Maybe one more black person said this is it, this is the straw.

I used to believe these conversions until 2010.
We had a “ex-SEIU” leader show up to help with a campaign in Oregon and to this day I’m positive he leaked info to the RATS and give our candidate advice which set him up to be destroyed.

He said all the right things, gave the right advice but somehow it never rang true that he was supporting our candidate.

The GOP had 4 excellent candidates for David Wu’s 1st district slot and every one of them got sabotaged.

Of course it IS possible that his feelings are genuine. If so I’m very happy.

Reagan’s quote of “Trust but Verify” is my feeling.
