My first thought was - “wow, a bunch of folks posted a bunch of too blunt statements about the topic in question”... or something to that effect...
But, then it occurred that it had to be a multipost.
They ("young black males") have been doing this long before video games, rap artists and gang bangers came along. Even before the invention of the personal computer. It's their criminality and racist hatred of white people that is the cause. (I know, that's so un-PC of me to mention that.)
I have personally experienced and witnessed it in the late 1960's and 1970's when I was much younger. There is nothing new about this. It's just that the internet is making it easier report and see it. Especially when these feral humans brag about their activities on U-Tube.

Simpson/Dallas Streets. I have a small business a few miles from this crime scene and in my 14 months at this location this is the 6th onstance of a violent crime. I do plan on calling ther NCH Police Dept about this not being a race/hate crime (reverse the roles and they would be screamong bloody murder). I also have my concealed carry class on Sept 16 and I will carry while conducting business.

The criminals need to be charged as adults and locked up forever. They are feral, and there is no hope for them.
If a police administrator values his job in a democratic controlled bastion, he better never say it was a hate crime when the victim was white.

Actually, an incident like this would be extremely rare in Cleveland. People know what and where the dangers are, and being aware of them, they can feel pretty safe going to the casino, a baseball game, the Rock hall, and the other things the city has to offer. Just don't walk around in areas unless they're pretty busy with people and stay in touristy-business areas and out in the open.
A lot of Cleveland is far removed from downtown, and many of those neighborhoods are not safe.
Update from the Cincinnati Enquirer today (7/13):
Pat Mahaney, severely beaten last August in North College Hill by a group of teens who said they were “bored,” died Friday after a sudden illness Wednesday, his brother, Michael Mahaney said.
Mahaney’s brother Jeff said the North College Hill man was so affected by the beating that he neglected his own health.
Wonder what will happen to the bored yutes now?
