Live in a distant suburb, 30 miles from the closest “city” and have a clear field of fire. I’ve been at personal defcon 3 for some time and will ramp it up to defcon 2 around November 1st...that means all mags and firearms loaded, safeties on but otherwise ready to go.
I have a messy hybrid situation. My house is way out in the boonies. Short of a full SHTF I’m not concerned about anyone messing with me there. But because of the difficulty of commuting I rent a little place in the city a few blocks from the office. It’s in a fairly good area but I’d HATE to get pinned down there, and it could happen. There are lots of choke points, and there are Section 8 zones on every line of egress. So I plan on getting scarce at the first sign of trouble, or Monday November 4th, whichever comes first.
