As the United States continues to help Israel improve its missile defense shield due to growing fears of possible attack by Syria and Iran, claims by Iran that it has developed its own carrier-killer that can evade U.S. Navy defense systems to hit ships in the Persian Gulf are drawing skepticism from naval experts.
As first reported by Janes Defence Weekly , Iran released images of a test last month in which the Khalij Fars antiship ballistic missile was launched and struck a moving target. The missile is purported to be a smaller version of Chinas modified Dong Feng 21, which was quickly dubbed the carrier killer after it was revealed in a March 2009 report by the U.S. Naval Institute.

Take out a carrier and see what happens to Tehran. You must be under the impression that we have a REAL Commander in Chief. 0bama would bow to the ayatollahs and apologize for one of our carriers being in their way.

The thought has crossed my mind that 0ba-Jarrett would start WWIII to get 0bama re-elected. And/or, nuke a swing state.

“The missile is purported to be a smaller version of Chinas modified Dong Feng 21”
The Dong Feng 21 was named the “carrier killer” because it’s standard warhead is a 500kt nuke. An Iranian version with a conventional warhead ain’t a carrier killer, and a nuclear version just got you into a nuclear war with the USN.

If a US fleet was nuked, even Obazo would be forced to respond. (just like he was against Osama)

The DF-21D Anti-Ship Ballistic Missile has a guided, maneuvering re-entry vehicle and a conventional warhead.
"Carrier-Killer" is a bit of a misnomer because it would be very unlikely to physically sink a carrier, but it is certainly possible to completely disable a CVN with various types of conventional warheads if they're hitting at hypersonic speeds. A carrier that can't conduct flight ops is a worthless hunk of metal.

Not with this president
he would bow to the artful shooting.

" don't forget it takes an order from Dear Leader to attack.. ." What worries me in the event of a carrier sinking or similiar event is the definate possibility that within 15 minutes of such an event, The speaker of the house would be the acting president by virtue of Obama and Biden being . . not available.

If he didn't respond with overwhelming force I think he would be physically removed. Not the right way to remove him but I think it would be likely to happen.

No really good replies to answer, so this is to #1.
Something like 71 years ago most Americans fully believed that Japan could never threaten us at sea or anywhere else.
That time it worked out OK.
Not so good in Korea or Vietnam.
Not real good now in most of the muslim world.
We are being ruled by the absolute worst resident of the White House ever....
Be careful what you wish for.
