The Central Florida Crimeline Kicks 4 Guns Program to remove unwanted firearms from streets and homes started early for the Volusia County Sheriff's Office this morning.
"As the command center opened at 7 a.m., we had our first customer from New Smyrna Beach turning in a 16 gauge shotgun," said sheriff's spokesman Gary Davidson.
In Daytona Beach, gun owners can stop by the Dickerson Center at 308 S. Martin Luther King Blvd. Walmart gift cards will be offered there as well.

Pictures at the site show a $300 Smith & Wesson and a $300 shotgun being turned in for $50 gift certificates.
Political theater designed to delegitimize armed citizens. The only practical effects are to defraud widows, increase demand for new firearms, and waste police resources.

300,000 guns in the USA and 20 is a “brisk start”?
More like a berserk start.

What's the deal with Florida and all these gun 'buy backs' lately? The FDLE get a bunch of Fed/Chinese money lately? This is the third one I've heard about in the last two weeks.

Shouldn’t you add another zero to that 300000.

I’d like stand outside with a few hundred dollars and offer to buy the firearm before it falls into the hands of the polezi!

IIRC, that has actually been done at some of these gun buybacks.

They need another three zeros.
320,000,000 private guns in the United States.
To: riverrunner
Shouldnt you add another zero to that 300000.
That should be 300 million, 300,000,000 guns in the USA.

I assumed the title was sarcasm. Wasnt it? No sarcasm. They mean it. To show that they are serious about their propaganda, they do not allow comments.

********
The estimated total number of guns held by civilians in the United States is 270,000,000
You are a bunch of zero’s short there!

Why not just take your unwanted guns to a pawn shop?

Many pawn shops offer next to nothing for guns, especially if they think the person pawning the gun is ignorant.
I learned of a lady who took two heirloom guns to a pawn shop and was offered $10. She took them to a dealer friend who put them on gunbroker. They brought in over $300.

I prefer the term “Confiscation Compensation” over “Gun Buyback”

customer from New Smyrna Beach turning in a 16 gauge shotgun It's a pain trying to get 16 gauge ammunition. I bet he's just happy he got rid of the thing.

No sarcasm. They mean it.
Then the “liberal logic 101” tag line is correct: “Yes, they really are that stupid.”
