Cute graphic, but it’s just political reality that Romney won’t have a free hand to defy the Republicans on social issues. Besides that, I just don’t think his heart is in social issues. He’s going to be mostly inert when it comes social issues, as opposed to Obama the thoroughly committed ideologue, who is likely to pull out all the stops to leave a fundamentally changed America in his wake when it comes to social issues.
