This is the problem here in the USA , to most separation means war. I do not know were this concept started(well actually I do know).
If you could bring back the original founders they would tell you this is not the republic they created, they would also see the Civil War as the stake in the heart of the republic. None of them IMO would have anything nice to say about Mr. Lincoln.
As to your premise I want war, it would be preferable to what we have now, if some states could be free to actually implement the USC as written. A peaceful separation seems impossible with the ignorant mindset I see everywhere.
So how bad is it the the EU, with an extremely weak central government(if you really want to call it that) is so bad they want to break up compared to the problems we face with FedGov. So if you can construct an effective answer go ahead and make your case otherwise don't bother.
I doubt that.
The civil war ended with a unified nation. The fact the federal government has ballooned out of control is more an FDR fiasco.
Try reading “Washington goes to War” by David Brinkly. It pretty much outlines how we ended up with desk jockey DC.
Thyere’s no prospect of war breaking out between the euro countries as the EU breaks up. There just isn’t and that is the point that you avoided. Changing the subject to the US Civil War reinforces my point about seeing everything through a Civil War prism.
To your credit, it’s better than the Hitler people who see everything as WWII ad nauseum.
