Well, Steyn is not a radio guy and I find that he refines his written word in his columns a lot.
Hi likes to refine and refine what he thinks, and I dont think he is at the top of his game as a call up radio host.
Still I think he does a remarkable job as a sub for Rush.
I don’t think most folks know how hard 3 hours a day of radio talk is.
Most of us would be vapor locked in the first 5 minutes of the show.
Saw your post on the death of AM radio the other day, that said it’s imminent since Rush is an old foggey and all his listeners are old fogeys.
The article said that every one uses podcasts and they don’t wish to “Lug” around radios LOL

In my area, Beck was replaced w/ Jerry Rivers, 9-12, too. I switched to WHP and/or WMAL. Dumped the old station after 22yrs.
He used to have his own show in my market, opposite Rush, got dropped in favor of Huckabee (giant mistake, IMO).
A tough spot for anyone.
He frequently subs for Savage.
The station which dropped him runs Schultz at 9PM (?), but Special Ed is pre-empted by the Mets minor league team, the Savannah Sand Gnats almost every night.
If that station (WBMQ) had any brains, they would run Urbansky instead of Schultz.
IMO, you can’t reason with libs because they are too often driven by raw emotion. Whether the subject is abortion, union loyalties, race or the economy a overwhelmingly driven by greed, selfishness, envy and covetousness. These emotions eventually coalesce into a mindless hate that blinds them to all reason. They want to dispossess dispossess others of something they themselves did not have the discipline or intelligence to possess on their own.
I could do it easily but I would have to take lots of calls. No way could I go on just by myself the way Rush can for an hour or more. He is brilliant at that and holds peoples attention. I would run out of gas in ten minutes
But give me callers to agree with or joust with...I could do it

He is never coming back. He is in New Zealand checking out golf courses and houses to buy. If Obama wins he is definitely packing it in but I can see him doing his broadcast from New Zealand for a few years to honor the remaining years of his contract.
its hard to replace Rush no question. I would disagree with you about Steyn but than that’s what opinions are for. We all have one.
