Indeed, this is the "secret of 0Bama's success," and why I call him a Black Magician.
0Bama's "rhetoric" is designed to conceal what he is actually up to. Just like a magician, who uses techniques of misdirection to divert attention from the actual "trick" being performed, so that you are spending all your time looking at his right hand, so as never to see all the mischief that his left hand is doing.
"Watch the birdie!!!" over here, and you will never see what of the magician's intent is actually going on. The success of the trick DEPENDS on this sort of misdirection of attention.
He conceals himself behind his WORDS, while his actual DEEDS go largely unnoticed — by an audience which wants to be persuaded by the magician, which wants his "tricks" to work, and aren't all that curious about the actual details of the performance. They have a willingness to "suspend disbelief" when it comes to this guy.
The Left has a habit of always blaming the other guy for what they are themselves doing. In this way they hope to "innoculate" themselves against all just criticism.
I wonder: How much longer will the American people allow themselves to be routinely deceived like this?
We may get our answer, on November 6th.
