In 1833, Frederic Chopin wrote another set of mazurkas. The first offers two-against-three in the middle section.

Chopin: Mazurka in B-flat, Op. 17/1

Chopin does a wonderful job taking a dance form and turning it into something contemplative.

Chopin: Mazurka in E minor, Op. 17/2

There is something wonderfully introspective about this dance.

Chopin: Mazurka in A-flat, Op. 17/3

The last mazurka is another contemplative gem.

Chopin: Mazurka in A minor, Op. 17/4
