Kristallnacht. It’s coming. A repeat of November 1938. The current administration in Washington will do nothing to discourage it. Indeed, it has given its tacit approval by remaining silent in the wake of the attack.
It sure seems we’ve reached a point of no return, doesn’t it? A few months ago, who could have predicted the Aug 1 Chick-Fil-A Appreciation Day, and after that, the Family Research Council shooting? The lines have been drawn now.
Doubt it. Kristallnacht only took place because control of the the German police had always been tightly centralized. So when the Nazis grabbed the central power, they had control of all the cops. They had also been in complete control for five years.
America doesn't (yet) work that way. The President does not the power to issue an order and have all the local cops stand down.
Also the fairly obvious fact that the Jews weren't armed.
